"It's a data stick." Kobra explained. "Your parents would have had it.... They probably have it to you."

"The last I saw of my parents was them both dead on the floor as I bolted out the back door. So if they gave it to me, I don't know where they would've put it.." Ari mumbled.
Kobra shrugged. "Maybe your bag?""Dude, if she doesn't know about it, she probably doesn't have it." Zia interrupted.
Ari fell silent, thinking. If there was some sort of data stick in her bag, she'd know about it. Right? She bit her lip lightly.
"Can you at least look?" Kobra asked, seeming a little less excited now. Zia and Night crossed their arms, unintentionally mirroring each other.
Ari sighed. She didn't understand what was going on. She sat down on the floor, pulling her back over to her.
"I'm sorry." Kobra said, noticing that Zia was now practically glaring at him. "I didn't mean to upset anyone..."
Ari bit her lip, thinking. The name sounded familiar and like she should know it but she didn't. She glanced at zia, tilting her head. "Can he be trusted?" She mouthed to her.
Zia hesitated. She'd never met him before, though she's heard stories like everyone else. She nodded.
Ari nodded. She needed that reassurance from Zia. She knew if she had whatever Kobra was looking for, then it would be hidden. She'd never found it in the multiple times she'd looked through her backpack supplies so it was well hidden.
Ari bit her lip. She didn't even know quite what she was searching for. Green got up. He went over and sat by Ari. "want some help?" He asked gently.
Night smiled, and turned to Kobra. The fact that he was taller than night was putting him off a little; Night was used to being the tallest. "You hungry?" He asked, "we've got plenty of food.Kobra shook his head. "No, thanks."
Zia slid from the low bed onto the floor, and kind of scooted over to where Ari was.
"Not that I know of.." Ari mumbled. She continued to look for hidden pouches. ((Just letting you know, later today my replies may quit for a few hours. I have a band concert...))
Zia but her lip, looking up towards Night. He shrugged. Zia hoped that they could find it, because it seemed really important.
Ari felt something that didn't seem right in between two pockets of her bag. She frowned. She opened the other pocket, making sure it wasn't just something leaning against it, that it was actually between the pockets. ((I'll try.))
Ari took out her pocket knife. She cut a small hole in the fabric. She grabbed what was in it, unsure.
Ari took it out, looking at it. "Is this it?" She carefully asked Kobra, holding it so he could see it but not take it.
He shrugged. "I don't know for sure. But from what I do know, it's very important to them in the city — special information that could help us take them down."
"They wouldn't tell you what they did, it might mean that they were high up in the government and didn't want you to know." He shrugged, "A lot of people are like that. They want to shield their kids."((It doesn't help that I'm on tumblr right now too))
Zia looked around, but the others seemed confused too, except Kobra, who shrugged. "I'm sorry I'm not more of a help." He said.
He nodded, feeling awkward, and looked around. "So, ahh...." He rubbed the back of his neck."What now?" Night asked.
((Please take over Kobra for a bit? I don't know what to do with him from here, so if you had anything else in mind...))
"I really need that data stick, Ari, right?" Kobra asked. Ari sighed, unsure about just handing it over.
"We're going to take it back to the other killjoys. We have a computer there and probably can figure out what's on it.." Kobra answered.
Ari shrugged. "I mean. I can't really tell them know if this could have everything they need..." She mumbled nervously.
"If you want... We can ask to go with?" Zia knew it was a strange suggestion, and she would be lying if she said it wasn't partly because she wanted to meet the other Killjoys.
Ari shrugged. She thought maybe she could learn about her parents through what was on it. "Would you be willing to?"
