message 551: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) "It's a data stick." Kobra explained. "Your parents would have had it.... They probably have it to you."

message 552: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) "The last I saw of my parents was them both dead on the floor as I bolted out the back door. So if they gave it to me, I don't know where they would've put it.." Ari mumbled.

message 553: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) Kobra shrugged. "Maybe your bag?"

"Dude, if she doesn't know about it, she probably doesn't have it." Zia interrupted.

message 554: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Ari fell silent, thinking. If there was some sort of data stick in her bag, she'd know about it. Right? She bit her lip lightly.

message 555: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) "Can you at least look?" Kobra asked, seeming a little less excited now. Zia and Night crossed their arms, unintentionally mirroring each other.

message 556: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Ari sighed. She didn't understand what was going on. She sat down on the floor, pulling her back over to her.

message 557: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) "I'm sorry." Kobra said, noticing that Zia was now practically glaring at him. "I didn't mean to upset anyone..."

message 558: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Ari looked over at Zia then back at Kobra. "Who are you?" She asked him.

message 559: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) He blinked. "I'm Kobra Kid," he said, "one of the Killjoys?"

message 560: by Fallen (last edited Mar 15, 2016 04:49AM) (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Ari bit her lip, thinking. The name sounded familiar and like she should know it but she didn't. She glanced at zia, tilting her head. "Can he be trusted?" She mouthed to her.

message 561: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) Zia hesitated. She'd never met him before, though she's heard stories like everyone else. She nodded.

message 562: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Ari nodded. She needed that reassurance from Zia. She knew if she had whatever Kobra was looking for, then it would be hidden. She'd never found it in the multiple times she'd looked through her backpack supplies so it was well hidden.

message 563: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) Night ran a hand through his hair. He was at a loss here. He looked at Green, frowning.

message 564: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Ari bit her lip. She didn't even know quite what she was searching for.

Green got up. He went over and sat by Ari. "want some help?" He asked gently.

message 565: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) Night smiled, and turned to Kobra. The fact that he was taller than night was putting him off a little; Night was used to being the tallest. "You hungry?" He asked, "we've got plenty of food.

Kobra shook his head. "No, thanks."

Zia slid from the low bed onto the floor, and kind of scooted over to where Ari was.

message 566: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Ari was grateful to have Zia come next to her. She gently ran her hands over the fabric of the bag.

message 567: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) "Are there any hidden pockets or anything?"
Zia asked.

message 568: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) "Not that I know of.." Ari mumbled. She continued to look for hidden pouches.

((Just letting you know, later today my replies may quit for a few hours. I have a band concert...))

message 569: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) Zia but her lip, looking up towards Night. He shrugged. Zia hoped that they could find it, because it seemed really important.

message 570: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) ((That's all right! Have fun!))

message 571: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Ari felt something that didn't seem right in between two pockets of her bag. She frowned. She opened the other pocket, making sure it wasn't just something leaning against it, that it was actually between the pockets.

((I'll try.))

message 572: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) The others tried not to stare, but they did.

message 573: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Ari took out her pocket knife. She cut a small hole in the fabric. She grabbed what was in it, unsure.

message 574: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) "What is it?" Zia whispered, leaning close to Ari.

message 575: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Ari took it out, looking at it. "Is this it?" She carefully asked Kobra, holding it so he could see it but not take it.

message 576: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) He stepped closer cautiously, squinting. "Yeah, I think that's it."

message 577: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) "What's supposed to be on it?" Ari asked him. She closed her hand around it, keeping it safe.

message 578: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) He shrugged. "I don't know for sure. But from what I do know, it's very important to them in the city — special information that could help us take them down."

message 579: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) "Why would my parents have it then..?" Ari mumbled, all of this only bringing up more questions.

message 580: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) He shrugged again. "I don't know. What did they do?"

message 581: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) "I never really found out." Ari admitted. "They'd say it wasn't important."

message 582: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) Kobra nodded. "That explains a lot, actually."

((I almost called him mikey jeez))

message 583: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) "how so?" She mumbled, annoyed.

((Oops.)

message 584: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) "They wouldn't tell you what they did, it might mean that they were high up in the government and didn't want you to know." He shrugged, "A lot of people are like that. They want to shield their kids."

((It doesn't help that I'm on tumblr right now too))

message 585: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) ((Yeah. Probably not.))

Ari frowned. This was just bringing up more questions.

message 586: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) Zia frowned as well, shuffling a little closer to Ari. "You okay?" She said quietly.

message 587: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Ari shrugged. "Just. Confused.." She mumbled.

message 588: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) Zia looked around, but the others seemed confused too, except Kobra, who shrugged. "I'm sorry I'm not more of a help." He said.

message 589: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) "Whatever. It's fine." Ari mumbled.

message 590: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) "Are you sure?" Kobra asked. He wished one of the others had come instead.

message 591: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) "Yeah. You didn't know my parents so you wouldn't know about what's on here. So. It's okay."

message 592: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) He nodded, feeling awkward, and looked around. "So, ahh...." He rubbed the back of his neck.

"What now?" Night asked.

((Please take over Kobra for a bit? I don't know what to do with him from here, so if you had anything else in mind...))

message 593: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) "I really need that data stick, Ari, right?" Kobra asked.

Ari sighed, unsure about just handing it over.

message 594: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) Zia looked between Kobra and Ari. "Can we see what you're gonna do with it?" She asked suddenly.

message 595: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) "We're going to take it back to the other killjoys. We have a computer there and probably can figure out what's on it.." Kobra answered.

message 596: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) Zia looked at Ari. "Is that okay?" She whispered.

message 597: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Ari shrugged. "I mean. I can't really tell them know if this could have everything they need..." She mumbled nervously.

message 598: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) "If you want... We can ask to go with?" Zia knew it was a strange suggestion, and she would be lying if she said it wasn't partly because she wanted to meet the other Killjoys.

message 599: by Fallen (new)

Fallen (fallencatalyst) Ari shrugged. She thought maybe she could learn about her parents through what was on it. "Would you be willing to?"

message 600: by Ema (new)

Ema (gee-fiera) Zia nodded, "Yeah. Not that I don't love these dorks," she shit a grin at Night, "but I feel like it could be a good idea."
