What Are You Currently Reading? (doesn't have to be an Aussie book) - Part 2
Phrynne wrote: "Obsidio. And I just want to go hide somewhere until I have finished it. It is so good!"I'm very jealous Phrynne! I have three books to read for review before I can even look at Obsidio! My palms itch every time I go past it sitting on my desk. Still, the wait will be worth it!!

I should not have started it really but I just could not resist and it is every bit as good as I expected it to be!

I’ve started reading Hot Pursuit by Rebecca Freeborn. I haven’t read anything like this for a while, so I’m finding it fresh, fun and fast to read!
Marianne wrote: "Loving The Passengers by Eleanor Limprecht"Mum has a copy of this, and I want to borrow it (and one of many I might add lol!)
I'm currently listening to Mackenzie Crossing by Kaye Dobbie and I'm loving it. It's the first one of Kaye's I've read and I'm finding myself enthralled by the past and present storylines and how they seem to be slowly merging...
I'm also nearly finished The Cockney Angel by Dilly Court. (Another of Mum's!)
I’m currently reading You Wish by Lia Weston the idea of this story really appealed to me. Not far in but I’m loving the style of writing.
Dale wrote: "Marianne wrote: "I think Dale would enjoy this one too."Thanks Marianne. Will keep it in mind."
I will warn you, Dale, that now I'm almost at the end, some of the narrative by the granddaughter has the f word. Not copious, but still.

Great! I have managed to sneak it into this month's challenge so looking forward to it just as soon as I clear my backlog :)
Currently listening to: American War - not enjoying as much as I thought I would.
Currently reading:
I Am a Hero Omnibus, Volume 1 - my first foray into Manga.
Hear the Wind Sing and Pinball, 1973 - I am a huge Murakami fanboi

Hi Brenda hoping you might have "flipper" handy. Can't pick between Before I Let You Go by Kelly Rimmer OR The Florentine Bridge by Vanessa CarnevaleThanks 😊
Brenda wrote: "Ok here goes Sharon :) The Florentine Bridge - both brilliant books in my opinion...enjoy!"Thank you Brenda and Flipper 😊
Dale wrote: "Currently reading Eleanor's Secret by Caroline BeechamEnjoying it very much"
This sounds really good, Dale. Looking forward to your final thoughts when you've finished it.

LOL!
I'm a few chapters in on a middle grade book 51 Sycamore Lane by Marjorie Weinman Sharmat It was a friend's childhood favourite and I'm finding it absolutely delightful.
Finally reading my ARC of The Year that Changed Everything by Cathy Kelly and it's so much more addictive than I expected!

I love Cathy Kelly Krystal! I've read most of hers. :) I'm yet to read the latest release and it's predecessor in Secrets of a Happy Marriage, I may not have read her very early works either. :)
I'm currently reading Jack Heath's Hangman via BorrowBox (e-book). It's very good... and certainly not for the squeamish or faint-hearted. I'm also listening to Heartaches and Christmas Cakes by Amy Miller.
Very different to Hangman, but just as good. :)
I've just started The 57 Bus: A True Story of Two Teenagers and the Crime That Changed Their Lives by Dashka Slater
Kylie wrote: "I love Cathy Kelly Krystal! I've read most of hers. :) I'm yet to read the latest release and it's predecessor in Secrets of a Happy Marriage, I may not have read her very early works either. :) "This is my first Cathy Kelly book but it won't be my last, now! Really enjoying it!
I currently have 3 books on the go - but my at work book here with me is
Eventually Julie by Aussie author Anthea SyrokouThe other ones I am reading are:
Three Gold Coins by another Aussie author, Josephine Moon, and
Us Against You by my favourite Swedish author Fredrik Backman - this is the sequel to
which was out last year.
Currently reading Night of the Grizzlies by Jack Olsen after talking to my mum about it. Haven't gotten far yet, but from what she told me I think I'll enjoy it. It's based on actual attacks by Grizzly bears (which is my fave bear, lol).
About to start The Autobiography of Mrs. Tom Thumb by Melanie Benjamin. I watched The Greatest Showman on the plane home today and wanted to know more about PT Barnum and his cast of characters.
Brenda wrote: "Good gracious! Your holiday is over already Diana! That went quickly!!"Yes two weeks in the States have come and gone. Back to work tomorrow.
I'm reading A Certain Light. It is brilliant. Up there with memoirs like Magda Szubanski's Reckoning: A Memoir and Richard Fidler's Ghost Empire.
Ryan wrote: "I just started Aussie classic The Harp in the South, by Ruth Park."I love Ruth Park's books. I think Swords and Crowns and Rings is my favourite but I love the Harp trilogy too.
