I'm about to start Storm and Silence by Robert Thier and with 400+ reviews already it looks like it will be a good read.
I just finished Mind Dimensions and I loved it. It was very fast paced and exciting and had some great twists. I gave it 5 stars. It reminded me why I love science fiction.
I also read DK Eyewitness Books: Shakespeare this morning for a bit of light entertainment. I gave it 4 stars. It's a good introduction to the most famous and timeless bard to have ever existed.
I am currently reading City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare. It is so far awesome. I am up to page 131 in the middle of chapter 6. I would recommend the series to everyone! :)

The characters are amazing, but sometimes really piss you off! Arrg! Can you tell I absolutely adore it? Lol.

That sounds really good Christine. Can you let us know what you thought when you finish it please...sounds like something I'd enjoy!

The app isn't very useful really. I always access Goodreads through my browser even on my iPad.

Currently working my way through all the past Miles Franklin award winning books. Just finished Eucalyptus. Now onto Cloudstreet. Doing it by audio book where I can.
Hi AllI've been under the weather over the last few months, but back now and have been reading quite a bit (the only highpoint of being sick). Just finished The Book of Lost and Found
and The Dress. Hoping to do a couple of reviews over the next week. Hope everyone is well.

Sorry you've been under the weather Nicole...not good! The only advantage is the reading of course! Did you enjoy The Book of Lost and Found?

Really enjoyed it Brenda. Hope to have a review by the end of the week.
Just under halfway through The Sending by Isobelle Carmody. This is taking longer than I thought it would...

It's a BIG book Niamh! No wonder:) As long as you're enjoying it though:)

The Dirt on Ninth Grave is a creepy title, Angela. How much of the Charlie Davidson series have you read?
I've just started reading Shtum by Jim Lester and I'm really enjoying it so far. Not a fun read, but very well written.
Nicole and Brenda. I was given
last year but the edition had this cover
. I much rather like the edition you have, Nicole. I didn't write a review (don't know why) but did give the novel a 4★. Hope you enjoy it, Brenda.I came away on holidays with Brooklyn by Colm Tóibín which my sister promptly snapped up for her bedtime reading book. She's given me Black Rabbit Hall by Eve Chase to read. It's a debut novel and while it's not twee, it's probably the type of novel I would have loved about fifteen years ago. But others may love it, my sister did.
B the BookAddict wrote: "Nicole and Brenda. I was given

Mine also has the second cover Bette, but mine's an ebook so I guess I can choose whichever cover I like;)

Brenda wrote: "Nicole wrote: "B the BookAddict wrote: "Nicole and Brenda. I was given

Here is my review of The Book of Lost and Found I do hope I have done the link correctly. https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

And The Red Queen is even longer :O
I've finished Black Rabbit Hall by Eve Chase; a debut novel which doubtless many readers will love. It was just a 'fair to middlin' read for me. 2.5★
Have just moved from 19th century Russia, Anna Karenina, to 20-21st century outback Australia. A Sunburnt Childhood. A complete change of pace and place.
I am currently reading The Husband's Secret by Liane Moriarty This would not normally be a book I would read but I was reading the preview and curiosity got the better of me and I had to know the contents of the letter! I immediately went and purchased it on my kindle. I am at 44% and so far it is still keeping me captivated. I will be adding this author to my favs.
Christine wrote: "I am currently reading The Husband's Secret by Liane Moriarty This would not normally be a book I would read but I was reading the preview and curiosity got the bett..."Glad you are enjoying it Christine. Fun sometimes to step outside our usual reading.

I am really enjoying The Ex
by Alafair Burke. I think I know the who from about halfway, but the how is not yet obvious, so let's see if I'm right....
I began reading Fire On The Mountain by Anita Desai this afternoon. It's my first book by this author and I'm enjoying her wry humour already. What surprises me is the similarity between the basic plot of this book, published in 1977, and the plot of The Inheritance of Loss (Booker Prize winner 2006) by Kiran Desai - her daughter!!! I wonder why this doesn't seem to have been a big deal? Or maybe it was and I'm simply not aware of it?
In the last couple of days, I read The Wedding Gift. It was silly and two dimensional, but still fun if you take it at face value. I gave it 3 stars.
I've just picked up
The Cuckoo's Calling by Robert Galbraith. It has been sitting on my TBR pile for ages.
Kiera wrote: "In the last couple of days, I read The Wedding Gift. It was silly and two dimensional, but still fun if you take it at face value. I gave it 3 stars."It's good to read something a bit silly sometimes.

It is. It was silly, but not awful, you know what I mean?
Dodge Rose : no quote marks, question marks makes it an effort to make sense of the text, it's all a bit bizarre so far
I do loath books that have no punctuation. I have no idea why some authors do it - seems to be getting common. All I can say is that it guarantees that the book becomes a DNF!
I've started reading The House of Frozen Dreams by Seré Prince Halverson. A really lovely story so far Quite a change after finishing You yesterday!
Christine wrote: "I am currently reading The Husband's Secret by Liane Moriarty This would not normally be a book I would read but I was reading the preview and curiosity got the bett..."I have finished this book
An absolutely enjoyable read. Whether that's the right choice of words, I am not sure as it touched on so many personal emotions. The characters were so well developed, and credit to the author for weaving such a complex story where characters unknowingly became connected. Will be reading more from this wonderful Australian author.
