Marianne, read my review when you've finished but I'm interested to know what you think.

Brenda, still going with Out of the Ice but Wow! It's very good and so early on in the book!! I'm on the edge of my seat with nervous tension.

You learn lots about elephants in it.

Yes. The ending completely surprised me, and I am good at getting ahead. It's a 5 star book, but I haven't yet worked out how to review it without giving too much away.
:)

Just enclose it in a spoiler tag if you're not sure :) I'm sure brief would do as there are a lot of reviews out there already..

I've enjoyed a few Austens, but I have to admit it took me 3 years to read P&P. Good luck with it, Ryan

Sounds good - I read one of her books The Children of the King and loved it.

It's lovely book Sally but also sad. It's during war time so it can be a bit upsetting seeing the kids and animals go hungry and doing it tough.
I love Sonya Hartnett books. I haven't read the one you have but no doubt I will some day - I'm slowing getting through her collection :)

Congratulations Ryan! Once you finish you'll be able to watch the movies, the TV series, the spin-offs, reimagined novels and sequels!

That one was discussed at a Tuesday BookClub last year I think Carolyn. I borrowed it from the library then had to return it as I ran out of time. Hope you're enjoying it...I know lots of others have :)

Haha I look forward to it.
Palimpsest by Catherynne M. Valente. Not sure if I am reading it or imagining it. It is seriously weird.

The second book (I went to the book launch - my very first!!) is Sally-Anne Atkinson's book 'No Job for a Woman'. As someone who was born and has always lived in and around Brisbane, this is of special interest to me, however I think that many Australian readers will also be interested in this book due to the fact that SallyAnne was not only the Lord Mayor of Brisbane but was also a trailblazer for working mothers and built a high-profile national career while raising five children.
Looking forward to reviewing both these books. Lea Davey (Goodreads Author)

GOODBYE TO Italia by Marisa Parker
I can't find the other one in the data base so will do a search tomorrow Lea.

Really liked that one Phrynne :)

I got it ages ago and have been trying to find the time to read it. I'm glad I got to it finally as it's really good!

A great read IMO Maureen!

I doubt that I would continue if I was reading it but as I have an hour of commuting alone each day, and I'm sick of my play lists, I will probably persevere with the audio.

Amazing."
I started this a while back and put it aside for another and then it ended up being packed into the shipping container. I'm planning on finishing it before the end of the year. Glad you enjoyed it.
