Ooo new thread. Me first, me first! ;)I'm currently reading The Landing by Susan Johnson
I know it was due for review in September, but better late than never.
Brenda wrote: "That's good to hear Jools:) I bought it last week and hoped it would be good:)"It's going to be a good series I think Brenda, a cross between Deborah Challinor and Bryce Courtney with, of course, a good dose of Thomas Keneally ;D

So glad you're liking it Phrynne...I thought it was an amazing book:)

Yesterday I read Seashore
and I also just finished Xena Warrior Princess: The Empty Throne, which I have 3 stars.
I am still reading
Secret Daughter by Shilpi Somaya Gowda - I am really enjoying it.An Indian woman gives up her child to an orphanage and she is adopted by an American couple - he is Indian so it made sense to have a child from India. Her adopted mother spends all her time trying to deny her daughter her heritage and the girls real mother spends all her time thinking of her 'secret daughter' Am half way through and, as I said, really enjoying it.
I'm reading the Law of the Evermen by James Maxwell. It's a battle soaked Epic Fantasy and the 4th in a series. I've loved his Evermen Saga, I've read all of them in about a fortnight.

I searched and searched for this one! The Lore of the Evermen by James Maxwell
Amazing how a misspelling makes a difference...lol

Ah thanks for the tip Brenda, I wondered how everyone was doing that lol. And sorry for the misspelling. I'll assume it was because I was tired (it probably wasn't lol)
Phrynne wrote: "Sounds like a good series too Mike."It is Phrynne. I had never heard of the author before stumbling across him on Amazon. Best Epic Fantasy series I've come across in years.
The first in the series is Enchantress
I finished Pride and Prejudice
today. I gave it three stars. I was not as taken with it as I was with Mansfield Park. I am aware this puts me in a fairly rare position amongst most readers! Lol.I am now reading Promise of the Wolves
. I have to get it back to my aunt!
I also read these over the last few days:Double Her Destiny
(4 stars)The Empty Throne
(3 stars) and
Seashore
(3 stars)
Reading Dangerous to Know: Natalie King, Forensic Psychiatrist the second book in the Natalie King Forensic Psychiatrist series, by Anne Buist, definitely as good as the first, if not better....out next week

Last night I read Sweet submission by Kimber White. I gave it three stars. It is a huge improvement on the first one. Not as many incorrect phrases, however still a couple of cringeworthy moments, which is why I didn't rate it higher. In this installment, Neve meets the rest of the pack.
This morning I finished Rising Heat. The author is finally hitting her stride in this one. It's really good. The pack have taken Neve back to their home territory for protection, but the real danger comes from within the pack this time. This installment is really suspenseful and the characters are starting to become well rounded. 4 stars this time.
The Stone Key (American Edition) by Isobelle Carmody. I could only find the American edition, which is the second half of the Australian edition. I finished Wavesong last night, which is the first half of the Australian edition of The Stone Key (Yeah, it's confusing. Americans are apparently incapable of handling a 1000 page book...). I'm re-reading the series because The Red Queen came out at the end of last year and I can't remember what happens because I read the rest of the series so long ago.
I just finished Pack Wars: Claimed by the Pack - Part Four. Gosh, this is really good! Neve is being held hostage by Asher and his pack down in Kentucky and she must make a tough decision if she is to stay alive. Oh and did I mention that I LOVE a good cliffhanger? Well, DAMN. GOOD. CLIFFHANGER! Can't wait to read the next one! 4 stars.
I finally managed to get my hands on a copy of Shards of Honour - I think the interlibrary borrowing scheme in SA has expanded to include a few more libraries. A great book, a really delicate approach to exposition so every new fact is naturally provided instead of forcibly inserted (also reading Pandora's Star, which is a huge difference in approach even though they're both space operas, and I'm loving both of them). Super eager to read the rest of the series.

A great book, a really d..."Shards of Honour is one of my favourite books Alexander! It's a great one to re-read when you need cheering up! The whole series is great but I loved the early ones best :)
So I finished Choosing an Alpha yesterday afternoon and thus finished the Claimed By The Pack series.
