S.C. Stephens (scstephens) Laurice Joy wrote: "Who is your favorite author?"

This changes all the time. :) I mainly read fantasy, so Terry Goodkind and Robert Jordan are up at the top. My second favorite genre is paranormal, so Stephenie Meyer and Richelle Mead are up there too.

S.C. Stephens (scstephens) EMILY wrote: "HI S.C STEPHENS.THOUGHTLESS SERIES WERE BREATHTAKING.DO YOU HAVE IN MIND WRITING A SHORT STORY OR SOMEONE'S POV IN THESE SERIES"

I might one day do Denny's story. I think that would be a lot of fun. And I'd love to eventually give Matt and Evan their stories too, but that's a ways down the road. :)

S.C. Stephens (scstephens) Vika wrote: "Hey Awesome author:)
I absolutely loved thoughtless and Thoughtful. I wanted to ask you if you are planning on writting more love hate books with a love triangle.
Thanks:)"

There's a lot of love/hate in Furious Rush, but I might stay away from love triangles for a while. I don't want to repeat myself. ;)

S.C. Stephens (scstephens) Maria wrote: "Hello S C Stephens! I'm glad you can answer our questions!
Can you tell us something more about Furious Rush? Is it going to be a trilogy too? The blurb doesn't reveal too much but Hayden and Mack..."

My plan is for Furious Rush to be a trilogy. It's kind of Romeo and Juliet...with motorcycles. Haha! It's bad, bad, bad for the two of them to be together, but circumstances make it so they have to be together. It all snowballs from there. :)

S.C. Stephens (scstephens) H wrote: "What was the most difficult scene to write in the Thoughtless series and why?"

The most challenging part of the series was the last book. Everyone was so in love with the first two, and I didn't want to screw it up! I don't think there was a scene in particular that was hard to write, it was more figuring out how to get from point A to point B.

message 56: by S.C. (new)

S.C. Stephens (scstephens) Katie wrote: "Love all of your books! My first book was Collision Course a long time ago, such a sad book. What book of yours was your favorite to write?"

It's a toss up between Collision Course, Conversion, and anything with Kellan. I loved writing Lucas's struggle in CC, I loved writing about my vampire family, and I loved every scene with the D-Bags.

message 57: by S.C. (new)

S.C. Stephens (scstephens) JMV wrote: "First I want to thank you for writing books that reminded me why I love to read. Collision Course was such a heart breaking book. Did you draw from any life experiences when writing this or any of ..."

I don't typically write from real experiences, but there was a little of that in CC. Mainly the dreams. After my mom died I had these weird dreams where she was still alive (and really mad that we got rid of all of her stuff). It was oddly comforting.

message 58: by S.C. (new)

S.C. Stephens (scstephens) Katie wrote: "If you could write in any time period other than our current one, which would it be?"

I know I can't write it, but if I had to choose, I think I would pick historical romance. ;)

message 59: by S.C. (new)

S.C. Stephens (scstephens) Claudia wrote: "Ciao S.C Stephens. Thanks for answering our questions.
I would like to know, if you could spend a whole day with only one character from one of your books, who would you choose and why?

Teren Adams from Conversion. I could spend all day watching him do vampire-y things...on his ranch. Mmmmmm...

message 60: by S.C. (new)

S.C. Stephens (scstephens) Nicole wrote: "Do you listen to music when you write? If so, do you have a playlist for your books?"

Yes, I do! I often listen to music when I write, or listen to music to daydream about scenes. And yes, all of my playlists are on Spotify. :)

message 61: by S.C. (new)

S.C. Stephens (scstephens) Patti wrote: "You are one of my favorite authors! I have read most of your books! Trying to get to all of them. Out of all the books you've written, which characters were your favorites to create?"

It's a tie between Kellan and Teren Adams. Kellan is just...sigh...but Teren has fangs. And I'm very partial to fangs. ;) And he cooks. :)

message 62: by S.C. (new)

S.C. Stephens (scstephens) Aleksandra wrote: "Who is your favorite fictional character? Why?"

Edward Cullen. Always and forever.

message 63: by S.C. (new)

S.C. Stephens (scstephens) Dojini wrote: "Is writing your full time job?"

Yes, it is now. :) I quit my (4) jobs when Gallery picked up the rights to Thoughtless. It's been a crazy journey, and I'm so blessed to be able to do what I love.

message 64: by S.C. (new)

S.C. Stephens (scstephens) Victoria wrote: "If you couldn't be an author, what do you reckon you'd have as a job now?:) x"

I'd probably be a bookkeeper again. I love paperwork. ;)

Or were you an extreme perfectionist,i'm this person< LOL!,and felt it still could use work even though you were told it was great?

i have written several short stories and i seem to work them to death and have been told they were great when i let others read them but i never feel like they are quite "there". Does that make sense?

Are you going to release Conversion The Next Generation this year?

Is Furious Rush going to be a series?

Are there any sneak peeks/excerpts of Furious Rush you can share with us? Also, is there a playlist we can listen to? I'm so excited for the book! *school girl squeals*

Thank you! Kellan was born from music--he's who I pictured singing every song. Griffin...he's a mix of guys I have known over my lifetime, lol. I would love to do a Evan/Matt book one day, but we'll see!

Writing was just a hobby for me in the beginning. I released all my stories for free, just to get them out there, so I didn't really feel pressure for them to be perfect. I decided to publish them after they were already successful, so I didn't want to change the story much. I wanted fans to have the book they knew and loved.

message 89: by S.C. (new)

S.C. Stephens (scstephens) Eleanne wrote: "What do you like the most about writing?"

I love discovering the character, finding out what makes them tick. Then watching as the puzzle pieces start falling into place, and everything starts clicking. That's a lot of fun. :)

message 90: by S.C. (new)

S.C. Stephens (scstephens) Irma wrote: "Do you have a special time to write or how is your day structured?"

I try to write while my kids are at school, so I'll get up, get them ready, then sit down and write for a few hours. And hopefully I'm done for the day before they get back. :)

message 91: by S.C. (new)

S.C. Stephens (scstephens) Stella wrote: "If there's one thing that could be changed/improved in the Thoughtless series, what would it be?"

Hmmmm...I'm sure there's a lot that could be improved, but I don't know if I would change anything. That book changed my life, so I feel like if I had changed anything, things might have turned out differently.

message 92: by S.C. (new)

S.C. Stephens (scstephens) Tina wrote: "Hello! I have to say that Kellan is one of my top book boyfriends! - Thanks for creating him :) Who has been your favorite character to write?"

Thank you! When it comes to writing scenes, whenever the D-Bags are all together, that's when it's the most fun for me. I love the way they pick on each other. :D

S.C. Stephens (scstephens) Jennifer wrote: "Hi. I'm a big fan of your Thoughtless Series and Conversion. I can't wait for your new book Furious Rush.

Thank you! Yes, my plan is for Furious Rush to be a series. I don't think I'll be able to get the Next Gen series out this year. I have all three books done, but I need to clean them up, get them to my beta readers, get them edited, formatted, etc...that takes time. And since that series is my pet project and not my main focus, it's all done in my spare time, which is limited. I hope to get started publishing them next year though. :)

S.C. Stephens (scstephens) Brandi wrote: "Are you opppsed to the idea of a reunion type book or a revisit to Keira and Kellan? Or something that gives us a little more into their future."

I probably won't do a book just about them, but if I do an Evan or Matt book, they would make appearances. :)

Thank you! There is a playlist, and I'll be releasing it closer to publication. As to sneak peeks, I'm working with Forever to get you guys a little taste before it releases. :)

message 96: by S.C. (new)

S.C. Stephens (scstephens) skyline wrote: "Is there a theme/situation in a story that you would never even considered writing about?"

Hmmm...I don't want to limit myself by saying that something is completely off the table, but a lot of the darker themes don't interest me as a reader so I probably wouldn't write about them. It all depends on the character, I guess.

message 97: by S.C. (new)

S.C. Stephens (scstephens) Verna wrote: "Who was your inspiration for Kellan?"

Kellan was born from music. :) He was the person I pictured singing every song on the radio.

S.C. Stephens (scstephens) sisa wrote: "I love the Conversion series!! Any chance of you writing another paranormal series in the near future?"

Thank you! That series is so much fun for me to write. :) Yes, I would love to do more paranormal in the future. It's freeing, you aren't bound by the same rules as traditional contemporary.
