Hi Emily! I honestly haven't attended a single book event yet. Oopsies, haha. My bookstagram recently hit its 1st year anniversary last May 3 and all I can say is that I spent a year with a lovely community surrounded by my fellow bookstagrammers who later on became my closest friends. So yes, you should start yours, too! Just wait until you get a bunch of new friends you can buddy read with! ;)
