The Twelve by Justin Cronin

I'm kind of shying away from the idea of the time involved in rereading this trilogy because I have so many other books to read. But I almost feel driven to reread them.

For example, I learned in that other group dedicated to the trilogy that the town (Homer, I think it is) , where Amy and Wolgast went to the fair, was the town that the virals didn't touch. Lacey had some kind of situation in the field there, and the massacre in The Twelve was in that same field. Wasn't the field where Wolgast's partner caught Amy & Wolgast trying to escape? So the town was protected possibly by Amy, but the field was haunted (for lack of a better word). I never made the connection until it was pointed out.

There's something about these books that has me enthralled. Maybe Book 3 will give me the answers I want and I'll decide to not reread them. But, at this point, I feel like I'm missing significant things.
