Pam Baddeley | 207 comments This book is the first edition dated 1981 with ISBN
0446904813

However, the author has other books listed but these all appear to just be later editions of the same book.
There is 'dragons: The Modern Infestation' with ISBN 0851156800 dated 1997, and a record that looks as if it's for the same edition with ISBN 0739401580. On Amazon, although it is on a page with a vanilla cover, the same two reviews appear as for ISBN 0851156800, and it is classified as the hardcover edition of 0851156800.

Reading the book description for 0851156800, it sounds exactly like the same spoof non fiction study of dragons, written as if dragons are real and causing a major problem to humans worldwide. So this appears to be a later reprint. If you look at its description both on GR and Amazon it says " This is the first edition in the United Kingdom; it includes an updated preface and several new photographs, as well as the charts, graphs, maps, and bibliographic detail that made the 1980 edition the standard reference for the Modern Infestation. " So apart from the mistake of 1980 instead of 1981, this confirms it is a UK edition of the original American book 0446904813 with a slight tweak to the title and I would say that the second record with less information on it, 0739401580, is the hardcover edition of the same book - Amazon is showing it as such anyway.
Thanks
Pam

Pam Baddeley | 207 comments hello I am bumping this thread as it is behind many others that have received a response whereas this has not.
