Hm. I just sort of assumed that it had unicorns in it, judging by the title and cover art, but you do have a point about it being more about the Melusine myth...

I've been thinking about this question ever since you asked it and I finally broke down and asked a friend who HAS read it. She says it's been years since she read the book but she doesn't recall any actual unicorns involved in the book, so if there are any, they'll play a minor role..

I think I'll shift my vote to something else!

Oh, in that case, me too. (Darn it!)

Good to know! I'll switch too! I was already contemplating it anyway because I was concerned I wouldn't be able to find it.

No big deal. I just found out Yahoo has been inexplicably throwing all my Goodreads emails into my "spam" folder, so I'm out of the loop. Wading through the backlog now ...

Zanna (zannastar) | 245 comments I didn't vote on the original collection as I don't plan to participate, but my choices are winning in the other two categories ^_^

Wolf Ostheeren (hazelwolf) | 70 comments Lacey: Thank you, thank you, thank you for nominating Unicorn Highway!! I might never have come across it without you and it is the most moving and beautiful and wise book I I've read in a while. I had moist eyes for at least a quarter of it. Thank you!

Oh gosh, I'm so glad it turned out to be a good read! I haven't read it yet myself -- I picked it up on impulse at a used bookstore because I was hoping for a similar experience as when I did the same with Ariel years before. It sounds like maybe I will be in luck! I'm excited to read it now. :D
