I listen to old time radio. This book's basic plot (I don't want to spoil the resolution here ) was used often in OTR Detective shows. In fact I listened to one show in the same time period I was reading this book. That's a put-off. Second, How the detective found the BIG clue was absurd; and I never understood why the killer saved the incriminating evidence instead of destroying it.

The detective and his secretary have promise. They deserved a better storyline.
