Also anyone know why c19 stopped taking new members and didn’t just make it read only for non members with access. Know several people that never could get a log in

The group was closed and made read-only. Of course there couldn´t be new members then or shortly before. The authors of the variations (not only N&S) also complained about people reading their stories and not commenting, but this wasn´t the reason. As I´m no Mod there, I can´t say anything about the real reasons, as members don´t know them.
