I think the story is set up nicely. It should be a good one, or at least I hope.

Yes, and no. LOL I am going to start today/tonight after work. I'm still slowly reading several books, but I want to (need to) start so I can return it to the library.

We could still read a specific number of pages. I don't have my book with me and I haven't started it yet...ugh...sorry. But I'd be good with a certain number of pages.

431 pages according to GR. So how many pages a week is that? LOL That's only approximately 24 pages a day. Does that work for you? For the next 3 weeks it'd be 168 pages a week. If I start it today it would be 72 pages by Friday. I will plan on doing that. Of course, there's probably a more natural break but without the book here I'm not sure what that would be.

I only made it through page 23 tonight since I didn't start until nearly 1:00 AM. But I really like it so far.

Detonations (view spoiler)[that would be so awful to live through that, even if you don't remember because look at their world now. No movie theaters or amusement parks or other such places that we all love to frequent so much. Pressia's and her grandfather's world sounds rather depressing. (hide spoiler)]

Pressia (view spoiler)[reminds me of Cinder because of her doll hand and how her grandfather has a fan in his throat...very weird! But she's not robotic. I can't imagine having to worry about being potential target practice and having the authorities take you when you're 16 if you try to pretend you don't exist. Sleeping in a cabinet would be awful. I like her creations she's made too. (hide spoiler)]

Grandfather (view spoiler)[seems very protective of her, making her cabinet and hiding her away. I'm worried he'll get killed for hiding her out. (hide spoiler)]

Partridge (view spoiler)[is pretty sarcastic, but I love that. His dad doesn't seem like much of a father, right? He seems like he only really cares about his position or status. I don't like him as of yet. (hide spoiler)]

Finished through page 54 yesterday but was too busy to post anything. I'll try catching up today as much as possible.

Meeting (view spoiler)[chapter was pretty intense! And the descriptions of all the various people who have fused parts is really sci-fi to me. I never was imaginative like that when I was younger (two years ago lol) so I enjoy reading descriptions of the characters' bodily parts that are wires and the handle of a bike and bird wings, etc. It's difficult for me to imagine, but I'm loving it. Bradwell (view spoiler)[has gone through a lot! The description of his experience with the Detonations and his body damage was done really well. The worst part, it seems to me, about his body are the bird beaks. That would be awful! His I Remember makes sense to me, though. (hide spoiler)]

I'm getting ready to go eat breakfast but I'm on page 143. I'm have a
"date" with my 8 year old granddaughter, so I'm posting now on my reading I've done.

Partridge (view spoiler)[scared me to death when he was going through the Dusts!! When that one grabbed him I thought sure that Pressia was going to save him but he saved himself! Shows how strong he is, quick on his feet, and resourceful! (hide spoiler)]

I knew that Partridge and Bradwell (view spoiler)[would butt heads. LOL But I have a feeling they might end up friends. Bradwell seems to be too prideful, like he doesn't want help from Partridge but he isn't the one who did the Detonations! (hide spoiler)]

Lombard (view spoiler)[is like a symbol of hope. The church is still standing and Bradwell goes there because of its sound structure and safety. Faith always offers hope. I know he said he doesn't go there to pray, but I think it still gives him comfort and a sense of hope. I hope it's still like that when they get there and I'd LOVE it if Partridge found his mother! Pressia and Bradwell (view spoiler)[ I really like these two together. I think they are very cute and Pressia is always challenging Bradwell, but Bradwell can make Pressia smile. I think this has been the only time she has really smiled or laughed is when she is with him. (hide spoiler)]

Our yearbook distribution is tomorrow and once the books are distributed it's crazy with students and parents trying to come in to buy books and check to see if they purchased one etc. PLUS (don't ask me why) our district has decided to train us on Windows 10 now! Why at the end of the school year I'll never know but I'm doing my training today. Ugh...I don't wanna!!! Lol
