Sansa needs to trust somebody and it might as well be the Hound. I don't think he feels any loyalty to Joffrey, it's just a job, but it's got to be disgusting taking orders from him. I think the Hound is damaged goods, but has got some kind of moral compass by taking a risk like that for her.

thoughts while reading:I do have to say that is kind of smart of Cersei to change Sansa's servants. Mean, but smart.
I'm curious as well to know what happened to Jeyne Poole.
I wonder how Ser Dontos was able to get a note under her pillow.
Sansa must be having fun dealing with all manner of drunk guys in the middle of the night (note the sarcasm).
"I like dogs better than knights." I agree with this sentiment.
"A hound will die for you, but never lie to you. And he'll look you straight in the face." I wonder just how honest he's been. Makes me wonder about comments he's made in the past.
