THANKS SO MUCH <3. you have no idea how happy I am. Even though I'm anxious because I need both Kai and Damon, I reread the bonus scene and Corrupt to tide me over. hehe! xoxo

Juuh Palmeira PK Hello!
These are my questions:
Do you read the reviews here in goodreads about yours books ?
I saw something about "Punk 57" a long time ago, and you're writing it this year. So how is to be holding a story with you for so long?
Can we hope to see more scenes like the ones where the guys have to buy Tampons? (I Loved it, by the way)
And have you ever met someone as funny and ironic as Madoc? I love his sense of humor and how he knows how to break a heavy situation with a joke!

"The truth is, nothing happened to Kai. He happened to others" Oh boy, this is intriguing. I can't wait for Kai's story. :)
Kisses from Brazil <3

Hey, Brandy!

I guess I would have Corrupt made into a movie. The Fall away series would be better for TV. There's too much story and character development for a two hour movie.

As for casting, I don't really keep up on who'd hot and who's not. They just can't be excessively pretty. The Corrupt guys are suave and well-dressed, but they're also the types that would look amazing covered in rain and dirt ;)

Thanks for the question!

Hey!

1. I read all of my reviews on Amazon, as long as they're written constructively and politely. If they're not, I'll assume it's not written for me and written for only readers, and I'll stop.

On Goodreads, no. GR is a community for readers. Authors can come here to connect, but I stay on my dashboard and I don't venture further unless someone sends me the link to a review they want me to read.

You know how we say things to our friends when we're mad at our mom or dad, but it's not exactly something we want our mom or dad to hear? That's like GR. People here speak freely and should be allowed to, but it's not meant for the author's eyes. Plus, there's the discussion threads, review comments, and GIFs, all of which can make you want to shoot yourself when you take a look. ;) Modern authors, contending with this level of feedback through the Internet, have to learn their boundaries to stay in a good place in their heads.

2. Punk 57, the idea has been with me for a while. I've been gathering ideas on Pinterest, but I haven't really been a holding a solid story inside me the whole time. I was just starting a storyboard, so it was just the bare bones of a book. It wasn't difficult to hold it inside, because there wasn't much there until recently.

3. Probably. The tampons scenes and such kind of just pop in my head, and there's no telling when that will happen.

4. No, I've never known anyone like him. I wish, though! He's just a figment of my imagination.

Thanks for the questions!

Hey, Karina!

The inspirations all came from my head, heroes I've read and see in movies, and myself. They're all a part of me in some way.

And yes, you can expect to see more in time. I'd like to see all of the guys get their stories, too.

Thanks for the question!

message 158: by Lacey (new)

Lacey How long does it usually take for you to write a book?

Penelope Douglas | 314 comments Mary-Sarah wrote: "How would you say you incorporate various forms of diversity (race, physical/mental abilities, sexual orientation, religion, background, education, age etc.) in your novels?"

Hi, Mary-Sarah!

Honestly, I never have an agenda regarding those things when writing my books. If I have a lesbian character or a half-Japanese character, then that's just how they appeared in my head when I dreamed them up. I don't plan anything.

I understand a lot of readers crave more diversity (and there are certainly authors out there who write diversity as a bigger part of their stories), but I don't write my books setting out to make sure I represent any one group or to make sure I have a level of diversity. I write my stories based on what I have to say to the world and what I experience in my own life and surroundings.

The characters, and issues they face, always come from a part of me, and I guess that's always the most important thing to me. What an author has to say.

Thanks for the question!

Hey, Lacey!

It takes me about 5-6 months and then another month for editing and formatting.

Thanks!
