I finished one of our group reads The Wildwater Walking Club this weekend. I'm currently reading Blackberry Pie Murder by Joanne Fluke. I'm also re-reading Looking for Me by Beth Hoffman for Friday. I belong to a book club at a local library.
I just figured out how to mention a book with a link to it, so I'm redoing my post :) Let's hope it works!Your Brain On Nature: The Science of Nature's Influence on Your Health, Happiness and Vitality
Grandma Gatewood's Walk: The Inspiring Story of the Woman Who Saved the Appalachian Trail
I'm thoroughly enjoying The Old Ways: A Journey On Foot, where I learned the Spanish saying "Caminar es atesorar!," which means "To walk is to gather treasure!"
Just finished reading Heroes, Gods and Monsters of the Greek Myths, How to Make an American Quilt and Beautiful Ruins.I'm currently reading:
Breath, Eyes, Memory and Mudbound.
I gave it 3.5 ★★★! I really liked it! I definitely plan on reading this one again. :D I might even change my rating to 4 ★★★★. I loved the storyline and aaahhh...."Pasquale", What a great character!
I really don't like giving the plot away but may I suggest reading this book by a pool, or maybe by the beach with a very cool beverage or maybe a chilled glass of sangria. :)
I try to celebrate the books that I read and I thought the cover of the book was so lovely, very picturesque. So I plan on going to this family-owned Italian restaurant that I heard so much about with this wonderful atmosphere. I hope it reminds me of the book. :D
-OR- I could have a "Elizabeth Taylor" and "Richard Burton" Movie Marathon. ;D
I think it would make "Pasquale" very happy!
Recently finished:Breath, Eyes, Memory , Dead Men Don't Get the Munchies , and Me Before You
Currently reading:
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz , Carrot Cake Murder , and Speaking from Among the Bones
Diana: I finished Beautiful Ruins today. It brought back pleasant memories of my trip to Italy in 2003. Here is a link to photos from my trip that included locations mentioned in Beautiful Ruins: www.flickr.com/photos/dneily/sets/721... This book included hikes along the rugged cliffs of the Cinque Terre. See my photos of these trails. Only negative for me was the porno addict with my name ("Darrell").
