This is so true Niru - change comes from one consistent and determined individual, and the positive energy slowly pervades everyone who comes in contact with that individual!
It actually reminds me of another Wayne Dyer quote: "One individual who lives and vibrates to the energy of pure love and reverence for all of life will counterbalance the negativity of 750,000 individuals who calibrate at the lower weakening levels."
Pretty powerful! Thanks for sharing your thoughts :)

He was a beautiful soul!

That's fascinating JD - and you know, I always wondered about the slickness of the statement too. But I agree with you - the sentiment still seems to mean the same - that the only way to change the world is to first change ourselves. Because the world is truly a reflection of ourselves.

“Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.”
Leo Tolstoy

It's the pebble in the stream example isn't it for a lot of people - on the same token if a person changes for the sake of fitting in where do they begin.
I have said for a long time that I couldn't care less if I'm wrong as it is all part of learning & growing - provided that it's not just ignorance.
Raghavy wrote: "It goes perfectly with another one of my favourite quotes:

Love it!

I like the pebble in the stream analogy! We do start early on trying to fit in, when our parents, teachers and friends goad and coax and praise us into fitting in; but after a while, we're not ourselves anymore...

Does this quote resonate with you? If so, how do you create the change you wish to see in the world?
