I don't really think she has a choice. Her actions are coming round to bite her and she has to break ties with her cohorts or get caught. I know what happens next so I'll refrain from commenting on the second question.

Those are my thoughts, too.

Agreed. I am reading for the first time, but I would expect those who were in a war would not take her refusal.
Yep. She's foolish if she thinks it's just a matter of saying she's finished and gets to walk away unscathed. Kat better watch her back.
How big of her to walk away now that her actions can't potentially cost Sebastian his life. She had no problem doing it while he was still in the war and vulnerable to her actions. I know she's doing it for her country but she still knew the man she supposedly still loved was out there.
Who knows? Perhaps some piece of information she turned over to the French led to the attack that cost Gibson his leg, which has now led to his opium addiction.

Yes, traitors loyal to one country (for whatever reason) living in another country at war --- how in the world does Kat think she can just quit on a whim or a burst of conscience?
I dont think she has a choice either and that she knows too much and she is not going to be able to just walk away on this one.
