Harry knew Moore was working on putting together a case involving Black Ice, a Hawaiian drug being sold by the Mexicans, with the Hawaiians and Mexicans battling over the rights to sell it. Did you think at this point that the story would lead down that path?

So did I! I'm glad, though, it went in a different direction. I wasn't excited about a gang war story. It felt like it would be a bit clichéd.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2240 comments To be honest, stories about gangs and drugs aren't really my cup of tea so I didn't really care one way or the other what direction it went in. I just want drug dealers to get what's coming to them so I'm glad that happened.

Veronica (readingonthefly) | 694 comments Yes, I thought it was going to be about rival drug lords with Cal fatally caught in the middle. It certainly wound up being a lot more complex than I thought, which was a nice surprise.
