I want to change my name

I want to change my name to be both English and Arabic side by side..how can I do that ?
I wanted it to be like that

Dual language named on an author profile is against GR policy

If there are profiles like that, it just means librarians haven't fixed them yet.

Individual books can have both names listed as author -- as yours do now.

Sorry to intrude on a conversation that really doesn't affect me.

But I'm finding it difficult to under why Kamal (sorry, I have no idea how to reproduce the Arabic) can't do precisely what he has described above.

I know of one GR user who posts in a variety of threads/discussions whose name appears on this posts as "XXX something something something." He fairly frequently changes the three "somethings" in the example, and no one seems to be bothering him about it.

I've seen other users in my main group whose usernames are long and include symbols and words in unusual combinations. No one stops them.

Just my USD .02.

it's good now in both Arabic and English ..
but when I press on my name on the upper right
it's mixed in both Arabic and English ..and it's weird ..

and yes ...I found many strange names with weird symbols and mixed stuff and no one did something to them ..
and because I want my name in Arabic and English because I write in both languages ..every thing goes messed up like this ?

Kamal, like any other Goodreads user, can set his personal username (the name that appears when he posts in groups, and so on) to anything he wants.

It's only the name on the author profile and books listed under it which Goodreads has policies regarding.

Kamal, because English is left-to-right and Arabic is right-to-left, many fields which have both together won't display properly here. Sorry about that!

You can absolutely edit your username. But as I said, if it includes both a left-to-right and a right-to-left language, it probably won't display properly.

Wanted to introduce myself first. I'm new to Goodreads and just joined your group as a new author. My husband and I co-wrote a novel. Now it looks like we've both got pages and I'd like to consolidate to one page with all of our info. Should I start by changing my username as Rivka suggests? I'm still finding my way around Goodreads and any suggestions would be appreciated.

Nancy, while you can certainly change your username, Goodreads keeps each author on their own profile. We don't combine two authors onto a single author profile.
