It's a bit of a guilty pleasure. Rose is annoying sometimes, but otherwise I like it. I'm about at 60-70%. What about you?

I haven't had much time to read it (still don't), but it's nice so far. Although some things don't make sense, like, that Moroi-Strigoi-dhampir stuff.

Okay, I'm also around 60-70%, and it was good up to now, but Rose has just done something horrible... I don't know. I'll probably look past it, but it won't be the same as it was before. :/

I still have yet to figure out why some of the vampires are Russian

Rose refers to Russia as the Old Country (or something like that) once. But other than that I don't know why they are mostly Russian.

what do you mean by what she did? I am on pg. 305 (view spoiler)[ and wondering if the Sandovsky's syndrome thing was mentioned earlier. Otherwise it seems kind of thrown together. What even is it (hide spoiler)]

I guess it's not that obvious... But I wrote a status update when it happened:
"She stared at me, shocked. "He's just going to take her to his room. He'll do even worse things to her." "Liss, I don't like it either, but it's not like I can go chase him down or anything." I rubbed my forehead. [...] I'm sorry." What did I just read?! Rose, Earth to Rose, can you hear yourself talking? Are you that drunk or are you just that horrible of a person? I can't even..."
I think the (view spoiler)[Sandovsky syndrome (hide spoiler)] was mentioned but not named, they only said that he had a disease.

In one of the flashbacks Rose had, the one where a friend of Lissa's brother threw a party and the Moroi brought a feeder that had already reached her limit for giving blood that day. But he [Andre's friend whose name I don't remember] took her to his room to "continue in private" after they had already been feeding off her for a while, taking turns doing it. And when Lissa asks Rose to help the feeder, Rose says this. Usually she picks fights for no reason or for really unimportant things, but when this feeder girl's life was in danger and her best friend was begging her to help, she says I'm sorry, I can't do anything, and doesn't even try. She actually shrugs it off as though it's no big deal. So, yeah, that's what bothered me.

oh, yeah. I'm almost done and kind of confused.

I finished yesterday and it's okay I guess. It's one of those books that's good, but nothing more than that.
