Brittany - you need this time for your family. Our hearts are with you, wishing we could do something to help.
****IMPORTANT****Team members need to report in the appropriate place(s). Whoever is tracking points for your team has stated where they want the books read and homework reported. Don't make them have to wonder if they got everyone and will need to search through the posts. I might take away points if it looks like this is a problem.
Finished Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers. Fascinating look at what happens to the physical remains of bodies after death. This has been an interesting and quite mind expanding toppler for me I must say.

Hi everyone see post 154 above we do not want to lose points because things go in the wrong place so here are some linksTo the reporting thread for our team https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
To the homework thread https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
Please can everyone look at post 3 on the reporting thread and let me know if i have all the information right - it would be best to do that on that thread. Also do not forget the homework we have until monday 29th. Finally we are doing really well I should have another finished today - well done everybody

Good job Marie and thanks for keeping track.
One more for me Never Let Me Go read and homework is finished.
If I read Suspended Sentences: Three Novellas by Nobel Prize winner Patrick Modiano today, I may be able to squeeze in 4 books for the Toppler. Based on the Goodreads description below, I think this should fit. To begin, we definitely have politics with the Nazi Occupation influencing the stories."Shadowed by the dark period of the Nazi Occupation, these novellas reveal Modiano’s fascination with the lost, obscure, or mysterious: a young person’s confusion over adult behavior; the repercussions of a chance encounter; the search for a missing father; the aftershock of a fatal affair. To read Modiano’s trilogy is to enter his world of uncertainties and the almost accidental way in which people find their fates."

I won't fit any more books in - I have been struggling womanfully with Your Heart is a Muscle the Size of a Fist but i cannot get into it and won't have time to read any more
I just finished Cinderella Ate My Daughter: Dispatches from the Frontlines of the New Girlie-Girl Culture which gives me four books for the toppler. I'm not sure I can squeeze in another one by tomorrow morning. I think I'll just work on the homework for each. I'll report whem I get those done.
I'm halfway through Suspended Sentences: Three Novellas, which I'm really liking. I'll finish this for sure, but I have to work all day tomorrow and won't be able to fit in another book. I'll end up with 3 books for the Toppler, but I'll finish the homework, too.
I finished 2 books ( The Drowning Girland The Story of the Lost Child) and I crave something light and optimistic and not written in first person perspective as my next read :) I'm still listening to Kindred which I had hoped would be another one for the toppler, but I didn't get much listening done this week.Debra wrote: "We saw Bridge of Spies, Room, Mad Max Fury Road, and The Big Short. I think my favorite is Bridge of Spies, but The Big Short comes in a close second. I've got both books on order, and also want to re-watch most of the movies with my hubby. He doesn't want to watch Room."
That's an impressive list, Debra. And may I ask what are you watching this weekend? Probably Revenant, Spotlight and something else, Brooklyn? I'm curious if you like them :) (and also which movies win in which categories). I want to watch Room, and haven't read the book.
Sorry to say I was a poor team member this Toppler. We've been working late evenings plus the weekend, so I was lucky to get 3 books finished. I had fully intended to do the homework last night, but I came home, had a cup of soup, and fell asleep in my recliner. My husband work me to come to bed, and it wasn't until this morning that I realized I hadn't done any of the homework. I apologize and now need to get some sleep. The auditors leave on Friday, so hopefully I'll have a full weekend off!
Hope you have a good relax and a good sleep Theresa. It's crazy this year. I've had about 10 independant people say to me this week at work, that they feel like it's July, not Feb (now March). Everyone's exhausted and frazzled!
I'm running around doing two jobs at the moment since the end of the Toppler, as well as major events last week. I know I have a holiday in 8 days, but it really doesn't feel worth it at the moment.
So for all of this, sorry i've been quiet too!
