A group of authors has created a Facebook page and Website called "A Reader Recommends." We post books we've loved. Authors can get others to recommend their books, but we're not there to merely self-promote. We have new books, as well as classics. We're open to new suggestions about how to make the site better, too.
We'd love to hear some of your book suggestions, as readers. If we get enough, we could feature Around the World in 80 Books in our "Books of the Month" category, where we list 10 books for the month.
"Each month, the admins at A Reader Recommends will select their ten books of the moment. These books might be new releases or recently discovered classics. The thread they all have in common is they are great books. Please feel free to leave your comments and your suggestions. We hope you enjoy our selections."
Yup. We're not looking for the super-hyped books, like 50 Shades or A Girl on the Train. Looking for books that readers have enjoyed and want to recommend.
