message 276: by ❤ Aly ❤ (new)

❤ Aly ❤ | 3575 comments Sarah, I had a couple buddy reads set up for the end of February but neither of us got to them in February. Do I need to get the date changed on the thread in order for them to be counted for the Scrabble Challenge or can we just use the thread with the date that we were going to use originally?

message 277: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 90976 comments Mod
You can go with the original date as long as its not more than 10 days ago ☺

Michaela (readingrowena) | 723 comments Hey Mods, I have a question that many ppl may ask themselves.. am I allowed to use a letter if it is in another language (in my case Bulgarian - Cyrillic alphabet) while in English the letter is the same?
example:
M (en) - М (bg)
H (en) - Н (bg) etc.

Victoria | 859 comments Ooh, I've got a similar question to Mickey's. If we're reading in a different language do I take the original titles name or the translated title? For example, I'd like to read: Te daría el mundo which is I'll give you the sun in English but the titles are not the same. I mean, the translation in Spanish does not mean I'll give you the sun lol, if that makes sense.

Тези плитки гробове by Дженифър Донъли it is in Bulgarian but the T in English is the same so can I use it so I don't have to search for editions everytime?
I mean if I need the letter T but only my edition has it and in English it starts with a different letter, am I allowed to used it?

That one is fine because it uses english letters, so you'd be able to write that title on a scrabble board.

This one you wouldn't be able to use because of the non-english letters. you wouldn't be able to write it on a scrabble board using english letters so we wouldn't be able to count it.

Rebecca (longy207) | 1581 comments I know this is going to be a stupid question but I'm really struggling to come up with E's.
would The Enemy (The Enemy, #1) by Charlie Higson count?
