I hate this. It was there when I chose the book. It was there yesterday, it was there today in the morning, so I posted the task even without verification, and now it is gone...
This would be less frustrating if I could not see that it is also shelved 192 times as Finance, but still Finance does not appear as Main page genre. I really wish Goodreads would explain why a book has a main page genre and what must happen for it to appear (or disappear).

I think, looking at this, that the number of genres listed on the main page fluctuates - so, if the particular genre is not in the top 5 or so, it will show up if they're showing the top 10 genres, then disappear if they're only showing the top 5. But, I've noticed that it often goes back the other direction as well - so that all of a sudden there will be 10 genres showing on the main page.

I just checked and caught it! So, now it's there, and it's verified, even if it goes away again!

Great!
On my way to repost the task.
But I still do not understand what Goodreads is doing with its Genres. I think they only want to make your and our lives more complicated...
And Thank You for checking again!

And I don't think it's merely the top # of people who have used the genre. I've seen lists where on the main page you have a genre listed ... but when you expand the list to show ALL the genres for that book, there are two or even three genres with more users than the one that is on the front page.
It's a mystery ....
