Ahaha I'm always up for raving about my favourite books! I loved Illuminae sooo much. The whole (view spoiler)[AIDAN pretending to be Ezra (hide spoiler)]thing was GENIUS, right? Was I the only one who was taken in by it?

The second book, Gemina starts five minutes after the last book ended.
So looking forward to it.

Ha ha ha...so true. I've just read the book recently too, and am surprised that many of my friends haven't read it as well because it was sooo good.

The thing I was so angry about was when (view spoiler)[ Jimmy died :(:( (hide spoiler)] I really thought we'd see more of him, even as another love interest for Kady. :(:(

i think a good reason we were all so thrown about a lot of this book,
was the fact they tried to avoid all the usual cliches that pop up in YA books

ha ha ha ha ...true, even the way the book started out was so non-cliched for a YA book.

This is the best book I have read in ages, I was scared that I would be disappointed because of all the hype but I am so glad I wasnt

Me too, its such a vivid unusual looking book, I borrowed it from our library.
(they only had it in paperback) just in case it was all just hype . I quickly realised
I wanted the larger hardback, so asked for it for Christmas, oh the waiting,
worth it though.

The thing I loved most about this book is that is told a really bleak and depressing story but you didn't get bogged down with the characters inner thoughts and turmoil. If this book was written form the point of view of Ezra or Kady, there's no way I would have finished it. I would have been too depressed by the shitty situation, so many people dying and the complete lack of hope etc.

But in telling the story the way they did, time jumps, cctv description etc, It really made it a lot easier to read a depressing but at the same time incredibly exciting story! That and the pretty pictures.

I think this book is amazing! It is a super unique story written in a super unique way! It is really unlike anything I have ever read before and I loved it!
