Jim | 21809 comments Not sure if this is the right place but has anybody looked at Amazon Web services?

I suggest you go to their terms and conditions at https://aws.amazon.com/service-terms/ and scroll down to 57.10

Then ask yourself what Amazon know that we don't!

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments How on EARTH did anyone read down far enough to spot that without falling asleep!!??

David Manuel | 1112 comments In my opinion, Amazon will still be liable in these circumstances despite this line of legalese. It does make me suspicious that this is part of their ultimate plan for world domination, though. Or maybe they're just speculating that the ongoing US Republican presidential nominating debates are a sign.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I posted this on Amazon US, and I have now been nominated to write a book about zombie lumberjacks in women's underwear...

That's what you get for doing your civic duty.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I won't be making that mistake again!

57.1 Lumberyard Materials. Amazon Lumberyard consists of an engine, integrated development environment, and related assets and tools we make available at aws.amazon.com/lumberyard/downloads or otherwise designate as Lumberyard materials (collectively, “Lumberyard Materials”). The Lumberyard Materials include the “Lumberyard Redistributables” listed at docs.aws.amazon.com/console/lumberyar... . Lumberyard Materials are AWS Content. The term “Lumberyard Materials” does not include Content distributed with the Lumberyard Materials under separate license terms (such as code licensed under an open source license).

Rosemary (grooving with the Picts) (nosemanny) | 8590 comments Wrong clause Patti ;)

Rosemary (grooving with the Picts) (nosemanny) | 8590 comments 57.10 Acceptable Use; Safety-Critical Systems. Your use of the Lumberyard Materials must comply with the AWS Acceptable Use Policy. The Lumberyard Materials are not intended for use with life-critical or safety-critical systems, such as use in operation of medical equipment, automated transportation systems, autonomous vehicles, aircraft or air traffic control, nuclear facilities, manned spacecraft, or military use in connection with live combat. However, this restriction will not apply in the event of the occurrence (certified by the United States Centers for Disease Control or successor body) of a widespread viral infection transmitted via bites or contact with bodily fluids that causes human corpses to reanimate and seek to consume living human flesh, blood, brain or nerve tissue and is likely to result in the fall of organized civilization.

Lisa Marie Gabriel (lisamariegabriel) | 1066 comments Very true! And as Amazon would have a stake in it it should make millions.

G J (Gaff to my friends) Reilly | 1836 comments I thought stakes were for vampires, not zombies ... I'm sure it was vampires ...

Stakes from the lumberyard. :D I think they might be excellent weapons for knocking the brains out of zombies.

Grace Risata | 46 comments Clearly all rules go out the window during a zombie apocalypse. That shouldn't have to be in writing. But the fact that Amazon recognizes the possibility of a zombie uprising....well that makes it all the more legit.
My question is....where is this lumberyard and what materials do they have that I might need, should a zombie apocalypse occur?
