Susan Since it seems to me that Rachel and her husband Frederick are well suited to one another and usually in agreement with one another, to what or whom does the title The Marriage of Opposites refer?


Rhiannon Johnson I believe that it is not an actual marriage being referred to but the blending or joining of opposites throughout the novel. Paris/the island, religions, mothers, etc.

Susan Yes, quite a few. The Dovekeepers was a favorite book of mine, and I like her newer switch to more historical novels. I do like a lot of her mystical novels.
