Wondering who was Veronica Roth originally pairing Tobias with?

I was wondering where Veronica Roth was originally going with Tobias before Tris came to be a thing. Obviously she wrote the first few chapters of Four (which I get has since been quite well edited but still) first(by a good 3 or 4 years). I doubt Tris was even in existence when she did that. I have been wondering if the characters that appear in this (only one of who doesn't then also appear in Divergent) were originally people that Tobias might have been paired with if Tris hadn't become a thing. Those three people were Mia (the Amity-Dauntless transfer), Shauna (It's Shauna. I guess we know who she is) and Lauren (the possibly only a couple of years older (but what's that in Divergent?) Dauntless Born initiate instructor). I was wondering if anyone else got this feeling and if so who do you think she would have gone with? Who do you think he would have been best with (ignore Tris' even existence for this)?

I dunno! I mean, maybe Mia?? She makes the most sense out of the three for me.

And, I believe that Roth had Caleb written as well before Tris came into the story. I thought that that was interesting,

I don't know Four and Tris was just meant for each other there's just no other way.

It's been a while since I read the books but iirc he didn't show interest in any of the girls before Tris came to Dauntless and was being ragged about that. Even though there were girls who showed him they were willing to get with him. He even stated Tris was the reason he stayed when he had already determined he had to leave dauntless.
On a side note, many times I had the thought while reading the books that Four was too good for Tris. That he loved her more than she loved him. He always had more consideration for her than she for him. Just my thoughts.

Personally I feel like she's does what she does because she thinks she's helping him in the long run. That feels like consideration to me. But hey thats my view

When I read Four I wanted him and Shauna to be a pair.. they seemed a nice match, similar humour and genuinely cared for one another :)
