My grandmother on my dad's side was German, so that must have been where he got it!

Don't do that, Amber...don't call out that you know the quote but not solve it. It frustrates a lot of other players, because we're all waiting on you to see if you'll come back and solve it or not. I had to explain that to one player so much that they quit playing completely. Please make your guess at it, so Lanelle has time this morning to put up another quote.

My apologies. I thought I had made it clear I wasn't guessing, but apparently not. My bad. I just hate the idea of ending a puzzle after just 5 letters. If I go away until this one ends so that I don't ruin anybody else's fun, would that work? I just always feel kinda bad when she has to come up with a new puzzle so quickly...

I'd say just solve it personally, because I was going to post a book until I had read your comment that you knew what it was. It's not fair to ask you to not participate just because you know what the quote is so early on, but at the same time, to me, it's put the rest of us players in a holding pattern, or unwilling to post and seems a bit unfair too.

I think it was a nice gesture to give everyone a better chance of guessing it. Personally, I don't see what the big deal is. Just a little game on the side to help me get direction on what to read next. If I get it, yay, if not, I'll read another book and guess another letter. Definitely keep playing.
