Ok I am starting this folder out with a question. When looking for reviewers for a second book in a series what are the pros and cons of doing so for the second book ie they might not have read the first and that would affect their understanding of the second book. What are your thoughts on this? Do you just hit up the same reviewers?

Aimee Janetzki (aimeejanetzki) Hi Ana!
Being a reviewer myself, I often find I prefer to read the first book as well as the second so I can get a grip on the series and an overall understanding of whats going on.
I think in you case maybe look out for people who have already read the first book and reach out to them because that way its easier on you.

Hit up the same reviewers. And then, hit up new reviewers as well. I've found if they haven't read the first book in the series and want to, they will ask for both books and read in order.

very late addition, but i wholeheartedly agree.

just to give an idea of the magnitude, one indie author says: "I...pitched 200 book bloggers...gave out hundreds of free copies in exchange for reviews" (ARCs, basically)
