One day I should read a biography of his life - I know next to nothing about his life other than what comes out in his work.

Thanks Phillip, I love it! I don't think I've ever seen these sorts of more "candid" photos of him. He's a brilliant writer, and it's nice to get this glimpse.
I also wasn't aware of his stepfather calling him "frog eyes" as it says in the article. What a monstrous thing to say to a child!
