Rebecca | 215 comments Just like you might take some risks of the heart in February, let’s take a risk in our reading. We’ll have our ‘Blind Date with a Book’ display, so there will be new unexpected reads galore!

But for our February Reading Challenge, choose a book that has been highly recommended to you or given to you by a loved one. It’s a great way to learn a little more about the inner workings of someone that you love and to give you something new in common. For February, I’m going to read I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith which was given to me by one of my very best friends, as well as highly recommended by her. I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith

Let me know what recommendations you run with and if it gives you a new window to your loved one and if their thought that you’ll like the book is correct.

Linda Mallet (lmallet) | 20 comments I'm going to read Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. It was given to me several years ago by my niece.

I just received a book of poetry by Emily Dickinson. Although I love poetry, I find Dickinson difficult to read. Never one to back down from a challenge, this is one of the books I plan to read during the 2016 challenge.

Kathy | 8 comments I just read The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. It was recommended by a teenager that I babysat for when she was 3. Timing wise, I may not have liked it as much because my grandfather is dying of brain cancer. John Green isn't my new favorite author, but it did make me think about what living with cancer as a child/teen or even a parent might be like.

You know, I bought that book a few years ago, but still haven't gotten around to reading it. I'll have to pick it up this summer!

I'm looking to read some more poetry this year myself. It isn't something that I tend to read regularly.
