Kate begins a tentative relationship with Crest (the man she met at the morgue). Did you enjoy this aspect of her character? Did you think that relationship detracted in any way from the story?

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 2240 comments Kate doesn't really belong in any of the factions and the relationship shows that she is lonely and wants to connect with someone.
Crest did not really appeal to me and I definitely suspected him of being the Upir up until the confrontation.

lorii (Loriidae) I agree with Lauren. Kate liked the idea of being attracted to someone who wanted to be with her in spite of her job. I didn't take to him, he was too Beta for me.

Tracey (trakka) | 407 comments I didn't like Crest for Kate either. I just kept thinking it was so wrong even with knowing that Curran is on the horizon. Like you Lauren I thought he was the Upir until they confronted him.

Mary Beth | 193 comments I didnt like Crest either but I never thought it was Crest but was shocked when I found out who the upir was. I really liked Curran.

Christina T (crysteena73) | 180 comments I didn't like Crest either. When it comes to Kate I really think she needs to be with someone as equal to her in power or more so. Otherwise she is going to walk all over him. I'm really not sure what Crest did that made me not like him it might not have been one specific thing other than there's no way that a relationship between him and Kate would work. Sorry if there are a lot of typos I am trying hands-free talk to text for the first time. It seems to work better on my phone then trying to type by hand.
