Andrew Kowalski | 1 comments Hello,
I read this book in 1980s. As i remember it was written by a woman. A karate master sailing alone was kidnapped from his yacht by the alien spaceship. On the board of it he met other slaves from different races kept behind the bars. There were also humans from different planets. He befrended a woman and they organised mutiny on the spaceship. The mutiny was a test done by aliens to find the real fighters they want to sell to take part in the tournament organised by other aliens. Our hero and his friends fought so well that they won the tournament and were revarded.

Andrew, I moved your request to the "Unsolved" folder because you're looking for a specific book.

Is this book for young or older adults?

Peter Meilinger | 469 comments This is Hunters of the Red Moon by Marion Zimmer Bradley and her brother Paul Edwin Zimmer. According to most accounts it was more PEZ's book than MZB's, but it was her name that sold books. I don't know exactly how true that is, but Paul's other books are well worth reading, if you can track them down.

Andrew, was your book "Hunters of the Red Moon" as suggested by Peter? Or are you still looking?

Peter Meilinger | 469 comments I thought I remembered answering this one. His book was either Hunters or an extremely similar knockoff, and I'm pretty sure I'd have heard of and read any other book that similar.
