Its been a quiet month with not much going on, but i dont think it likely to continue. Still, great start!

Lots of opportunity - especially as I've stopped gaming, and not so interested in TV.

I sleep...some. xD And I've stayed somewhat caught up in school and whatnot. I probably won't be able to read that many books this month. ;)

Although I do make some exceptions - the expanse is an awesome TV series - based on an even better book series - read "Leviathan Wakes" if you get the chance. Super scifi if you like that genre.

Woooww!! Lol. I didn't realize!!"
Wowsers! I wish I could read that fast :)

Leviathan does sound pretty good.

Nice! I've also tried to stop watching so much tv - and succeeding halfway. I at least try to w..."
I'm definitely not watching as much because I'm too busy reading and interest isnt there. Although I did sneak in a movie a couple days ago. Spectre the James Bond movie. Couldnt resist that one. But I'm buckling down this month and having fun.

I also read 8 during January, and I was definitely reading more than I did last year. I'm inspired..."
@Hannah...
I also manage to sleep at night! I work three jobs, too (one full-time, two part). I am a quick reader and have perfected the art of "reading and". Waiting in line, waiting in traffic, doing the dishes, eating dinner, eating lunch. Part of the reason I prefer hardcovers is because I can prop them open while doing other things. Only one of mine this month was a novella. I do admit to binge reading on Sunday afternoons, so I read three books this Sunday. I can read a regular book in about two to three hours.
I do not have a tv and rarely watch things, though I do love a good crime drama or romantic comedy. But I find reading much more restful when I am tired.
Of course, I am happiest while reading! I also scribble at writing, and I have managed a healthy 2,000 words or so per week this month, also.

Off to a slow start, but I have confidence I'll make up ground. Tortoise and Hare, right? Wearing the t-shirt ( ... also a jet pack.)

You'll probably beat us all!! Lol.

Lol! Not sure about that! You've made some great progress, over 1/4 of the way there!! And besides, even a jet-pack equipped tortoise can be as susceptible to overconfidence as the naturally speedy hare... boy, wouldn't that make for an interesting character reversal!

If you click on "you have read x of x books" under your challenge on the main page, there is a shortcut to a shelf showing all books you've shelved in 2016, read or not. Click on the "missing books?" link to go there.
I try to always review things, so I remember what I did and didn't like about each book. However, if you don't want to, click "write a review" and scroll down below the review section to "set date read" and click save.

I've read 8 books so far, so a little shy of staying on track for 100 books. *gulp*
