After the death of her husband in Afghanistan, Kate Hemingway’s world collapses around her. Kate’s free time is spent with a charity for teenage girls, helping them mend their broken lives – which is ironic, since her own life is fractured beyond repair.

Reserved, ex-public school journalist Paul Farrell is everything Kate and her teenage charges aren’t. But when Paul agrees to help Kate with her charity, he makes a stunning revelation that changes everything.

But can Kate take a risk with her son’s happiness as well as her own?

Helena Fairfax (helenafairfax) | 3 comments I'm so delighted to see A Way from Heart to Heart is the featured book by MFRW. "There is a way from heart to heart" is an old Afghan saying, and the proverb illustrates how love can grow in the most unlikely places.
My heroine is someone who has had to battle against all the disadvantages society can throw at people. She continues to help others even when she's become successful.
This novel deals with love in all its forms - between husband and wife, between friends, between lovers and between parent and child. It's a book that is dear to my own heart. Thank you for showcasing it today :)

Thank you, Reet. I loved the cover, too - but my publishers did change it later! If you check out the new version on Amazon, you'll see it's quite different http://www.amazon.in/Way-Heart-Helena...
I like both covers. The second shows the lovely Yorkshire moors, and the first fits the romantic feel of the story.
If anyone has any views on which cover they prefer, I'd be interested to hear them!
