Book Predictions for ACOMAF??

As the release date for A Court of Mist and Fury draws closer, I've seen more and more theories for this novel. A lot of them are very interesting, clever even, but some are kinda far-fetched. But who knows, Sarah J. Maas could do anything. If you'd like to know which theories I'm talking about, I'll try to find the links (they're on Tumblr, btw), just let me know in the comments below. Anyway, I would love to know what your predictions are, theories, and guesses. I'm open to all, whether it be about who Feyre ends up with (Rhysand or Tamlin), because both are pretty awesome, or what will ultimately end up happening in this book.

WARNING SPOILERS(for all who have not read THE THRONE OF GLASS SERIES):

As my own predictions, I don't really know. My mind keeps going back to the Hades/Persephone parallels between Rhysand and Feyre. Sarah J, Maas's Pinterest board, promises to bring elements of a well known tale to ACOMAF, but the question is; will she she write in a love triangle or will Rhysand and Feyre's "relationship" be only out of desire and lust or will it be something more? Because for all who have read ACOTAR, Feyre proved her love for Tamlin, her TRUE LOVE, so I don't know why Sarah would mess with that ship. But as we've seen in Sarah's other series, her characters usually have more than one love interest, and they're never promised to end up together, So, Sarah could pull a Aelin and Chaol and put a Rowan in the equation to mess up the present ship. And besides the relationships, plot wise and story wise, I can only guess Sarah will deliver another masterpiece.

Warning, seriously opinionated feelings ahead that may hurt someone's shipper heart:

You have to ask yourself, is love ever actually 'true love'. Is there such a thing? And is someone's perception of love actually accurate? Because to be honest, relationships are different for everyone.

And what may seem amazing about Feyre's relationship with Tamlin might be outweighed by the bad.

It's flawed to believe that all good relationships will not encounter bumps and that all of them will actually survive them. Chaol and Celaena's certainly didn't.

I don't think SJM changes ships to explore tropes of lust or desire but to show how people change over time and with them, their relationships. Its more based on character growth, which is pretty awesome.

Whatever happens, it will probably be awesome.

While most people are probably thinking ships, the only ship I'm thinking of right now is the one the King of Hybern is gonna be taking to Prythian!

Don't get me wrong, I love me a good romance, but I never find anyone really talking about anything else in ACOTAR. Like what the Evil Dastardly physcopathic King of Hybern is gonna to when he finds out that his minion Amarantha is dead? Emphasis on the MINION. Amarantha, to quote Throne of Glass is just another player in the unfinished game.

I mean, what WAS that thing Feyre eavesdropped to? It was ordering around what is probably the most scary and intimidating creature of the Attor. So we already know its worse than the Attor AND the messenger for the King of Hybern.

I know it's not really a conspiracy theory so much as an obvious step forward, but I'm still buzzing man!

Bit of an afterthought, but I also think Neasta is going to have a pretty big role in the books to come. She has the sight, and she is different from the rest of her family, as we can clearly see when she left on her own to find Feyre. Also in the manor house, she seemed just a step apart from everyone else, as if she didn't really fit in. I think something is off there man.

I'm not really sure what that means, but imma keep an eye out for it, we all know how Sarah with mind-blowing revelations!

Also, Eimear, Nesta was able to see past Tamlin's glamour and remember the events of the night Feyre was taken.

I honestly think that Feyre and Rhysand are going to be mates, but I really don't know. I mean, the first book has been hinting towards that. However, I think that Tamlin and Feyre are going to stay together. I think that Feyre will somehow 'rebel' against this mating system and stuff, and stay with Tamlin. Also, Sarah Maas already had used that concept of the whole love illusion thing, I don't think that she would use it again as the same plot twist.

Someone posted these unconfirmed ACOMAF excerpts on tumblr today. I don't know if they're true, but warning that these would be major, major shipping spoilers if true. Any theories about how this changes things? So excited for the book!

You have an interesting opinion...I like it! But you bring a very good point into this discussion, because in real life, love is different for everyone. And Sarah really brings that aspect into her writing. What you said about Sarah not changing ships for the purpose of desire and lust, but to accentuate the growth of her characters is very well said. You've given me something to think about! And yes, whatever she decides to do with the story will indeed, be awesome. Thank you for sharing your opinion. (:

You're right! It isn't talked about enough. I'm sure Sarah will bring this to light and make King of Hybern a huge problem for the characters. You bring up a good point too. Nesta is quite different, can't wait to see what Sarah has up her sleeve for this character!

I'm thinking the same thing right about now, but I'll be happy with whatever SJM decides to do with her characters. She knows them best. But from the spoilers I've read on Tumblr (I couldn't help myself, they were too tempting), I think you're on the right thinking path. I don't know if Sarah will use that same plot twist again, but in real life, rarely do couples stay together. People break up, get together will different people, until they feel like they've met their match. And I think that's what Sarah tries to convey in doing this, not just for the sake of a plot twist. But I can see how it could get old and unsurprising in her novels. Can't wait to see what see does though!

I'm guilty of reading them all because I have no chill button . And I feel like these spoilers change everything. What exactly, I don't know. Only the genius mastermind behind the story holds all the answers, and I can't wait to finally figure them out.

I agree that if the spoilers are fake, then it would be a horrible trick, but there is proof that they're real (or at least one of them is). The fourth screen shot in this one :

is definitely real. We see this scene in the 6-7th screen shot in the official ibook preview that someone posted:

If you compare the two scenes, they're exactly the same. Unless the-german-bookworm decided to create a VERY intricate deception and add one real scene amongst the fake ones, then the post is real.

Also, saying that Rhys "doesn't sound right in those snippets" is weird, because you're basing your knowledge of him on the role he played in ACOTAR--and that's what most of the "nastiness and swagger" is, according to Feyre: just a role. Furthermore, we didn't spend enough time with Rhys to really know much about him: he is still a mystery. We're never seen Rhys vulnerable or emotional or REAL; he had to hide it all Under the Mountain.

I'm so sorry...

They are real. It would be hard to fake that. Google took it off now. Also, there's more spoilers on tumblr from the actual book. It's confirmed who Feyre chooses (in regards to ships) and they slightly match the google previews (ex. same new characters mentioned). To me, it does sound like SJ Maas' writing.

Fair warning though, Tamlin would have a huge character development. Which leads to the reviews out there that hints on the change of love interest. It's the blurb in the Barnes & Noble website from Publisher's Weekly. If you're not a fan of that change, I wouldn't suggest reading this book. I'm just saying because a lot of people have been complaining. It's as if this was Tamlin's story and not Feyre's?
