Ani Manjikian (lonehorseend) | 26 comments Hey everyone. I'm back!

This year, not only will I be here to talk about my published book, Spirit of the Lone Horse, but I would love to answer questions about my whole series and the upcoming release of the second book, Do You Believe in Legend?

Oh and my characters will be making random appearances, if you'd like to meet them.

Stars of Heros spans from the 19th Century to the 26th Century and beyond. The series title is a tribute to, and a word play on, the main themes in the books: horses, space, family, and heroes. Whether ordinary people or aliens, these heroes try to make a difference on their home world.

Spirit of the Lone Horse (Book #1)

In Spirit of the Lone Horse, the first in the Stars of Heros series, we are introduced to Jo Mason and her family. Jo is the commanding officer of a large mounted band base. Thanks to a horse almost killing her, she is terrified by the noble creatures she once loved. Meeting the rogue stallion's son, she is faced with the choice of running away from her fear or taking back control of her life. Her decision begins an adventure that weaves a tapestry through past mistakes and regrets, present circumstances and consequences, and future hopes and dreams.

Do You Believe In Legend? (Book #2)

Jeff Mason has always been a part of Jo’s life, offering an encouraging or wise word when she needed it plus many other things she can never completely thank him for. She has no reason to think of him as anything other her cousin. Then she learns that he replaced her real one, who died saving his life. That discovery plus hearing her own voice in a place where she shouldn’t have leaves Jo wondering about her place in time.

When Jeff’s twin brother Randy falls into her lap, both literally and figuratively, Jo hopes he can give her some answers. There is only one slight problem… He doesn’t remember anything about himself or his life and what he does, doesn’t help.

Together, the three of them learn that life isn’t about who or what you know, but who and what you care for.

Ani Manjikian (lonehorseend) | 26 comments Schedule
I'm going to be in and out most of Friday the 8th as I have to attend to real life matters. Saturday and Sunday, I will more in than out. Please leave any questions you may have.

I'm doing the Late Show with Joe tonight and the Blab.im Interview with Kori on Sunday. I'm also stop #6 on the Sci-Fi Blog tour.

Thanks for all who voted for me in Cover Wars. It was stiff competition. Keep voting. I want to see how this plays out.

Thanks, Riley. The title is a reminder to myself to keep writing and was inspired by a conversation I had with myself in the bathroom after a friend's betrayal. I was making changes to something we worked on together and wasn't sure of it, or anything else for that matter, so my brain popped off with the question, "Do You Believe in Legend?"
To which I replied, "Yes, I do."
"Good because believing in legend, is the first step in making it a reality."

Ani Manjikian (lonehorseend) | 26 comments I'll be in and out all day. Have the blab interview at 2PM Pacific (4PM Central, 5 Eastern). Check out the blurb on Spirit. As discussed on the late show last night, I'm doing a flash sale for the convention. Just use the coupon code and it'll be 99 cents instead of 2.99.

Other than that, come ask me or my characters questions. They are chomping at the bit waiting to answer them.

Lavern Winters (grandmapeachy) | 10 comments I made it! I got lost at the sign posts them in the fairgrounds. Now I'm here. I just want to say I read Spirit of the Lone Horse last year and loved it. I've been working with Ami on editing the second book in this series, Legend, we still have work to do but I believe it is going to be a great science fiction read when it gets published later this year. If you like a little science fiction that is a little different then I recommend Ani Manjikian's book.

No worries, Lavern. The fact that you made is the important part. Your help has made, and will make, Legend just simply awesome. It's also helped me improved how I think and write, so it will have a tremendous impact on the whole series. Thank you, my friend.

Lavern Winters (grandmapeachy) | 10 comments Working with you on Do You Believe in Legend has been an interesting and growing experience for me as well. There are so many things to consider when editing and I've grown so much in this area. You can tell from our initial chapters to later ones. It's a pleasure to work with an author who loves their story but isn't so much in love with it that they are unwilling to make changes. That is what will make this newest booking the series so great.

Hope you have a great day too.

Ani Manjikian (lonehorseend) | 26 comments This has been just a simply awesome day and weekend. This isn't about sales, folks. It's about building a stronger Indie network and community. It's about people discovering themselves and what they are capable of doing.

Here the last two videos I participated in:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtCU1... - The last day show

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IOGfv7... - Understanding Scientific Accuracy: Science Fiction Panel Discussion

Going to have to redo the interview I did yesterday because of technical issue. Look for that later.
