This would be amazing and is a fantastic idea!
We should be able convince Emma to do this. The advantages are huge.

I just had this idea I want to share. As someone interested in IT I couldn't overlook the affiliate system on some websites. It's actually very simple. You register to an affiliate system of the site e.g. some shop and than you put your provision link to your website and every time someone clicks on your link and buys the product, you get the money. What if Emma or someone made a foundation and registered to an affiliate system of some (international) book or ebook shop. Each time there will be a new book in Our Shared Shelf, they would put their refferal link to this group. When someone would buy that book through that link, the money would went to that foundation and could be used for anything needed - gender equality media campaign, it could cover the expenses of heforshe.org website, pay for support group for abused women or whatever else useful. Since there are almost 100 thousands of us, it could make a difference. What do you think?
For example Amazon has affiliate system and you can get up to 10% of the purchase. If a book costs 7$, you would get 0,7$ from every purchase of that book. Let's say 30% of us bought that book, it would be 30000 x 0,7$ which is 21000$. From just one book, in just one month.
