Suddenly I woke with a start. "Uh....Huh? *cough cough* What the...No!" Suddenly I'm wide awake. "kmae, stop! Stop! You're letting out..." I fall asleep again.

kmae stops, and the roots pull me down into the ground. Suddenly the gas clears and the room is totally silent. I'm gone in the earth and kmae is frozen in place with shock.
"What! NO! Ruby! Can you hear me!?!?" I shout into the dirt. I pound on the ground where Ruby had been. My shock turned to sadness. "Who..." I mutter. Suddenly my shock turns to anger. "No. I won't let it happen. Not again." I growl. I let out a high pitch large whistle and I hear Arnold whimpering near by. It was silent, but then I hear the stamped coming at me. A herd of wilderness animals stopped in front of me. From huge bears to field mice were present. "All diggers, dig hear," I gestured to the spot where Ruby was. "And look for a girl intertwined in roots. Stampede-rs, get ready for escape rout 122." I commanded in critter clicks and growls. They all nodded and went to work. I looked over to Maj and Arnold. Arnold was sitting at attention, a waiting orders. "Oh! Uh..." I was shocked that he was obeying. "Join the diggers in the search." I commanded. He understood and went to work. I took out my dagger and helped cut up the roots coating the dirt's surface. Some rodents passed out in the process, but other than that, it was just drowsy work.
After a while my head popped out of the ground. I was staring off into space, but after a few good slaps on the face, I woke up. I coughed a few times then gasped. "Mom." I passed out again.
"Come on, Ruby! Be ok. You have to be ok." I pleaded. She was breathing, just unconscious. I did a dog whistle. "Hey! Fauzzy!" a large brown bear lumbered over. "I need you to take him to the ride." I grunted and growled. I pushed Ruby onto his back and Fauzzy took him to the ride. I knelt down by where we were digging. I picked up a wilted root about 2 inches long. I'll figure that out later. I stuffed it in my pocket as a sample. I walked over to our way out of the Rockies. A huge nest like carriage had been built. George was harnessing up the animals who were to pull us out of here. Ruby was laying in the nest, still passed out.
I think this is more fun. It's like improv.
suddenly thunder rumbles. I look up and the owl stares back down at me. I have been claimed by Athena. But then another symbol hovers above me. Hades symbol what how is this possible. I can't be claimed by two gods. No this can't be but sure enough the thunder rumbles again. " ok u guys. Please tell me I'm seeing things. Hades and Athena. This makes not sense."

Arnold nudges me. "Kmae, I'm sorry. I didn't mean- I-" I stop. "Will she be all right?"Then a flash catches my eye.
"Zaynah?" I ask. "We're gonna be bunk mates?! Awesome!"
I wake up with a start. This time I drink a few glasses of water and say, "I-I saw her... My mom... she was giving me a messege... a warning..."
Then i pass out again.
But only for a moment, I wake up, and this time, for good.
Oh yeah. Maj. This should be fun. Has anyone else noticed he Athena and hades sign hovering on top of me. I can't be claimed by 2 gods.

I stare off into space. After a while I say, "My mom. She-She spoke to me. She said.... it was a warning. I must go... I can't stay... My mom... she can do many things... I..." I try to stand, but I collapse back on the bench in exhaustion.
"WOW. OK. Back up!" I yell. "I thought we only had one godly-ish parent. And now all of a sudden Zaynah has two? And Ruby has been contacted by her mom? How? What's going on here? And Kmae, you still owe me an explanation..."
Panting, I say, "Zaynah has not only one, but two godly parents... making Zaynah a godly kid, too..."
"An explanation. Yes. About this." I gesture to the wildlife all around. "I know. But we have more important matters right now." I say to her. I turn to Ruby. "Just take it easy, ok? Your mom spoke to you. A warning. Do you remember what about?" I said, concerned. "Oh! Your hurt!" I say when I see a cut on her arm. "Let me help!" I reach for the wound but she flinches away. "Its alright. I can heal you." I say calmly. "Maj and Zaynah. I need you guys to figure out what... what that is." I gesture to the signs hovering above Zaynah's head. "While your at it, find a bucket of water from a stream. Its just a few yards West." I point in the direction.
I think we need to... Ok call me crazy but the only lerson wi the answers must be the oracle. Not the camp oracle. But the real oracle. He lives in olympus. Not with the gods but on the opposoing island.
I need to know how i have to god parents amd how ruby is able to talk yo her mom and how suddenly kmae has disappeared. Maj ...seems your the only sane one here

And the screaming is something you'll get used to, though they have kind of respect for you 'cause your Dad rules the place." Then I start thinking. "Kmae. You know exactly where you are. And the wild life. Are you-" Then I stop. No, I think. She didn't tell, so why would I do it for her... "Zaynah, buy me a sandwich when we're done, we're going to New York." I grab her hand, and before she can object we stand in the middle of the entrance hall of the Empire State Building.I walk over to the security guy. "600th floor, please."

By now I have finished my fairy nonsense, I am out of shock and my only emotion is now annoyance. "Really you two? Come on! And also, WHAT IS GOING ON? And what did I miss?" I begin munching on a pear.

"She was contacting her through the fruit she is always eating. Her mother forced her to do it. Hecate sees me as "a threat". I have no idea why. I'm not even claimed! I doubt just because I am a wilderness caller, long story for a later time, a powerful goddess would hunt me down. Anyway, Ruby has stopped and come to help." I explain. "Ooo. Ruby? Your arm. The cut is defiantly infected. I need to take a closer look. May I?" I ask. Her arm was swollen and the cut had a green goo surrounding it.
"Damn, you're the necromancer's kid?" I laugh. "No wonder we got along so well. But what does your mom have to do with the 'threat on our loved ones'?"

They all just stare at me with confused eyes. I smack my hand into my fore head and sigh. "Tartarus? Ding ding ding!" I say sarcastically.
