"Who knows! The Labyrinth could be under the ocean or under a volcano! Anything could happen. But I think Poseidon is tring to help. Maybe one of us are his children!" I said cheerfully. That was weird. I caught myself in mid skip. "What the... wait, I know where we are." I said, suddenly serious. I ran to the nearest wall and put my delicate hand on it. Yep. Knew it. The mist disappeared into nothing and the cave was silent.

"So, were ARE we, exactly?" I say. Kmae gives me the do-that-again-and-I-will-seriously-hurt-you look. "What? I'm just asking... And I brought Arnold to my dad's, so it's not like you can be angry at me for having him."
"yeah ok, but I wanna know what kmae supposedly "KNOWS".... come on! i am really confused right now..."
I sighed. "I..." I frowned. I concentrated on the vibrations of the wall. We had to keep moving. "Guys, we have to go. Follow me." I ordered, and ran, hand dragging on the wall. "I... used to live here. We are in the Rockies. These tunnels are cutting through the mountains, and I have been... uh... trained. Trained to feel where things are through the mountains." I explained as we ran.
I sigh and follow kmae, shouting after her, "Oh come on! Where are we? Are you a kid of Poseidon or something?"
"Don't know yet. Haven't been claimed myself." I admitted. I kept my head forward and hoped they couldn't see me blushing.
I sigh again "Ok well how do you know then?"
I feel the earth shake again. "Time to go. Like NOW. This cave is, well, caving in."We rush into an open space, and a man pops up. "Can I he- oh, miss Fantasy. What a pleasure. The usual?"
I turn to see Kmae, who has gone completely red.
"Kmae?" I ask. "Do you know this guy?"
"ummmmmm guys? I want to know what's going on NOW! I am getting freaked out.... and not just because of this....guy... (and by the way i am a girl, not a guy)"
"Oh! Hello, George. Um... escape rout 112. For..." I turned and counted the members of our group. "For a party of 4 please. On the double." I said politely. I turned and whispered to the group, "I'll explain later. I promise." Then I turned back to George. "Ready. Can I join you?" I ask.
"Why, yes. Of course, Mrs." he said.
"Guys, hold on to something." I said to the group.

I watch as Kmae and this George leave. "Ruby, want to find some food? Shadowtravel makes me hungry." I turn to look at Zaynah who has settled into a very fine looking chair. "Are you staying here, or coming with us?"
"Wow, okay, I guess...." I sort of walk around in a sort of daze, I'm new to the whole shadow travel thing and stuff, just recruited last week
As me and George went to search for the right material, we ran into Ruby. "Uh... hi. I thought you were going to stay with the group. We were gonna be right back, we just had to secure the... the stuff." I said to her.

(Mysterious stuff with me and George, but he acts like my butler. You guys don't know about that, yet. I told you to stay in the cave as we went and "Searched". But Maj told you to search for food so she could talk to Zaynah. I think that is what is happening.)
(ok and i followed u?ok then) "Yeah, well, um, I was curious... wait! Secure some stuff? What are you up to kmaefantasy?"
(You can just call me Mae.)
"I'm getting ready to get us out of here." I say, shuffling my feet. "George, you can carry on. I will be there in a moment." I say. I turn back to Ruby. "What ya doing over here?" I ask.

*in a suspicious tone* "I am figuring out what you are doing Mae. Are you a friend or foe? I was at camp half blood on important business when this little... problem occurred. You're not the only one with secrets, Mae. I want to know what's going on, and perhaps when you finish I will tell you my story. Now, Mae. The whole truth." *I sit down warily on a nearby rock and wait*
"Ruby?! I thought we were going to find some food!" I yell as Ruby runs off. "Oh, well... Let's go on an adventure!" I start exploring.
"Uh..." I weighed my options. I gave up and sighed. "Fine. You twisted my leg. But can it wait? I'll... I'll show you as a group later, ok? Can't do it here." I say. "Now... go back to the group for me, can you? Please?" I ask. We needed out of here. Even though I loved the fresh mountain air, the wildlife and all, we had to go.
*I don't budge* "You do realize, Mae, I am not moving, and neither are you, until you explain. You must. Now. *Mae tris to run for it, but finds she is rooted to the spot, held there by some unexplainable magic* "I am not unclaimed as you thought, Mae." I say mysteriously. "I am a child of Hecate, goddess of Magic and crossroads. My brother is of crossroads, while I am of magic. Now, talk."

"I won't talk as long as I am rooted. I won't talk also because this little freak out of yours. This," I gestured to the roots. "Is breaking the friendship bond we had. I don't know who you are, daughter of Hecate. No matter what you do, I will not speak a single word to you as long as you are a mystery to me." I say, a little shocked by her magic and mysteriousness.
I slump to the ground. "All right, all right. I'm sorry. It's just my mom. She is making me do this. Hecate. She wants to stop all you guys from reaching the surface. She made all of us come down here. I have been contacting her. She hates you, Mae, to her, you are a threat, she knows something about you that I don't even know. Those apples I was eating? They were a way to transfer information. Except, when someone else touched it, as I found out, it would explode. I'm sorry. I just had to follow her orders. She's my mom." As I finish, I unroot Mae and wait for her to run. To run away from me.
But before anyone could say anything, Maj came and burst into the tunnel.
"Ruby, I... I'm speechless. Me? Threat? Goddess of magic against me? And you... were informing her?" The roots wilted off. I stumbled backwards and fell on a rock. I lied on the ground and just tried to process it all. Too much. It was too much to process. Everything was spinning and getting darker.
Meanwhile I'm exploring the room, and find a corriodor. I walk into it, and end up at a dead end. I feel around, and notice a nook in the wall. I stick my daggar into it, and a secret door opens. What is this place? I think, as I walk into the opening. I hear the buzz of a computer, and slowly inch into the room. I enter a controlroom, with a lot of screens. I want something like this in my bunk! I see on one sceen George, but I can't really make out what he's doing. On another I notice Ruby is with Kmea. And they're not having a friendly conversation.I start leaving the room, and find myself in another weird tunnel. This one is also a dead end, but before I can touch the wall it opens up. Thanks, Dad. I think.
I walk through the opening and see Kmae on the floor. "What was that about a Goddess of magic?" I ask cautiously. "Ruby, what's going on?"
I shook off the darkness before it could consume me. I sat up slowly and saw a fuzzy out line of Ruby and Maj. "Fine. Everything is fine." I say. I blinked a few times it my eyes focused. "Where..." I stopped myself. I sank my figures into the earth and felt vibrations. "Guys. We have to go. Now. Right now. Help me find George." I said, getting up. "Whoa." I groaned as I swayed and leaned against the tree for support. I shook my head again. I saw their concerned faces and said I was fine. I jogged off in the direction George had left in. I motioned for them to follow me.
*I looked at Maj's confused face, and pretend nothing happened.* "Come on, we don't want her to get lost without us!" I follow her, muttering to myself under my breath as I go.
Reluctandly I follow Kmae & Ruby. I hear Ruby muttering something that sounds like a prayer, so I start praying to my dad. OK Dad, I hardly ever ask for anything. I mean, honestly, whenever I call DOA, I only talk to Charon about stuff I need, and he's not really talking to me right now. Not with last year- However, Dad, I need some help. My friends are acting strange, I mean, stranger than usual. And I don't know what to do. I can't just leave, not again. Nevermind, just please. Please send me guidence. Oh, and Dad? I left Arnold with Cer, hope you don't mind...
I look back and see Maj muttering to herself. "Hey Maj! Come on! Hurry up! Let's go! Apparently there's this big danger we gotta get away from! Come on!"
I finally see George feeling around the ground in the woods. "George!" I shout. He looked up and I nodded at him. He nodded back with a smile. He came jogging towards us and I turned and spoke to my friends. "Ready to go? We are prepared to leave." I told them.
"Kmae? Where are we going?" I asked suspiciously "Who are those people George was talking to? What is going on? Honestly. No more I'll explain later. I want to know now, or... Or I'll show the trick I taught Arnold en Cerberus."
(Its Kmae. A before the E.)
"I'll show you. Soon enough. For now PLEASE just get back to the cave entrance." I pleaded. "Please, I don't want to use force!" I said, hoping she would just go to the cave.

(Sorry, I changed it.)"Force? What part of daugher of Hades don't you get? You can't force me. And soon enough? That's it. Fine." I stick my fingers in my mouth and give a loud whistle. Immediately I have Arnold on my left, and Cerberus on my right side. Kmae and Ruby's eyes grow wide with fear. "What is going on? Tell me. NOW!" I say again. This time a little to harsh, because the cave shakes again, and cracks start to appear in the walls, and on the floor. Then I see a new emotion in Kmae's face. Pity. Why would she feel sorry for me? I start thinking. I warned her, right? And it's not like I yelled ATTACK, right? And- What's happening?
Isn't this supposed to be 'drop it on the person below'? Not 'make sentences from the previous comment'. Sorry if it (somehow) offended someone.
It was... Then it got hijacked....
I can tell
I try to calm Maj down. "OOOOOK, Death Girl, easy now, easy now, don't think I didn't try that. Just calm down, that's it, yup, calm, calm. Woah now, don't you start up again. Easy does it, uh huh, yep, good. Ok, now, let's all just run toward George over there, and get the heck out of here, ok?"
"Don't try sweet-talking me, Ruby." I grunt. "Because Kmae isn't the only one hiding something, is she?" I turn to Cerberus. "Sit." I command. "Good boy. Now, Go Home." One roaring bark, and Cerberus is gone. I turn to Ruby and Kmae. "Don't think for a moment this is for you. I only send him back, because otherways I'll have to get him chewtoys. And since I've deciced not to give you guys to him..."
"Ummmmm" I slowly back away, newly frightened. "Uh, Maj?"
"Start walking." I say. "Arnold, come on." Arnold shrinks, and settles back on my shoulder.
"Maj?" I squeak again.
"What are you doing? And by the way, I KNOW NOTHING!" I take off running, controlled by fear and panic, but I'm overcome with a swift wave of sleepiness, and I drop like a stone.
I grab Arnold from my shoulder. "Carry her." I look to Kmae. "Start talking."
I grunt and roll over on the back of Arnold, wake up for about half a second, see the huge bed of fur I am laying on, and pass out again.
I held Arnold like a toxic bomb. "Talking... about... what?" I stutter, shaking with fear of Arnold. I glance over to see Ruby passed out on some moss. "Ruby?" I call in worry. "Here. Hold your mutant." I shoved Arnold back into Maj's hands. I walk over to Ruby and poke her with a stick. She doesn't move. "Uh..." I kneel next to her and shake her like crazy. Nothing. Suddenly roots start sprouting out of the ground and entangling her. Dragging into the ground. "Uh oh. Help me!" I call to Maj. I take out my silver dagger and start cutting the roots off. But with each slice they released a gas. The gas made me more and more drowsy as I hacked at the roots, but I kept going, willing not to fall asleep.
"ARNOLD, Time to go! Grab Ruby." I look at Kmae. "Grab my hand. I know where to go... Kinda...."
