The Lucia de Flavia books I think, so quirky and so well written, they were a pleasure, I also enjoyed the G M Malliet series.

My two best were Lucy Clarke's The Blue & Sharon Bolton's Little Black Lies. Best read with our group was S. Williams's Tuesday Falling.
Like David, I only gave out one 5 star rating last year but enjoyed a bunch of 4 star books. I left out perennial favourites like Jo Nesbo, Ian Rankin & Stuart MacBride but here's a few from my Top Ten list (mystery genre only):Little Black Lies, Green Hell, Ways to Die in Glasgow, Taking Pity, The Short Drop, Gun Street Girl & Real Tigers.
