TJ I really enjoyed the book, aside from the confounding issues that all time travel books leave me pondering, but that aside, I thought that Professor McCluskey was disposed of much too early. I was not prepared to learn that she had planned on making the leap with Stanton, and indeed did so, but I found the situation that created very interesting and I would have liked to have seen that played out a little longer, with Stanton slowly coming to realize what the Chronos group had done that changed his life forever, essentially priming him for the job, but by the time he would have discovered it, he would have been well into the plan. I just think it might have added to the story. Not that I am criticizing Mr. Elton nor second guessing him, I just thought that story line would have been intriguing. Thoughts?

Jenny I agree. She was an interesting counterweight to Stantons character and could have served as a tourguide for a slightly less throughfully educated Stanton.

Also, Stanton could never have made it to Cambridge in the end, after killing the socialist women, because if he had, there would not have been anyone to stop him killing the socialist women. Stanton failed to destroy Newtons box so the world could reset itself again. That, or someone else figured out the coordinates to the time skip.
