So I am going to listen to this book on CD on my way to and from school for my North America book. It looks like it is going to be pretty short - the CD case says 3 hours 10 mins.... Almost feels like cheating!

I read this for the 2015 challenge (a book more than 100 years old) and picked it just because it was pretty short. I know what you mean, felt like cheating but since I had never read it before, it worked for me. Hope you enjoy the story.
So far it's really interesting! I drive about an hour and a half to and from school and so I am about halfway through it. I think it's great! I'm really into the story.
I've finished it last night and it didn't feel like cheating. It's a classic and it's so well written and I'd wanted to reread it for ages and it really moved me. Somehow it made even the unrealistically savage behaviour of its dogs believable for the moment and also got away with anthropomorphizing.
