Sloane nodded, understanding where he was coming from. She actually found it kind of sweet that he wanted to do that after his sister. "Well what did you want to be when you grew up? Personally, I wanted be either the president of the world or a unicorn. Whichever came first," she asked him, adding in that bit for no reason. She wasn't sure why she shared that piece of information with him, it just seemed kind of normal to do so.

Sloane glanced behind her before hopping up on the counter and shimmying back to get more comfortable. "So you wanted to do something to help people but not a bodyguard. That makes sense because I can imagine being a bodyguard kind of sucks. So what are you interested in then?" she asked curiously, tilting her head to the side, her fingers playing with the ends of her hair as she looked at him.

Sloane gently ran her finger over her lips as she thought about his question. "Well if it was up to me, then I think I'd become a social worker and help kids. I'm not particularly fond of helping people but I could help those kids," she answered thoughtfully but shook her head with a soft, hollow laugh. "But it's not up to me. So I'm going to finish my bachelors in business and work with my dad. It was either go into politics or business so I chose the lesser of the two evils. But I like film and television so I'll probably end up working on the station which is pretty cool," she continued, shrugging in acceptance.

Sloane nodded, a small smirk curving one side of her mouth. "Oh I definitely did. There were a few smashed plates at that one too," she replied with a soft laugh. "It's not like it's going to be bad. I'm good at what I do so I'll do a good job and it's not like it's super boring. I totally think I'll be able to weasel my way into casting and auditions for original programming so that's always awesome,"she added, shrugging, managing to find a silver lining. It wasn't that she hated it or anything, it just wasn't her dream. "And you clearly don't know my parents because it's my mother insisting on all of this. She's even trying to marry me off but that's not what gonna happen."

Sloane laughed again when he joked about the plates, shaking her head just slightly as she did. A secretive type of smile spread across her lips at his protest and she shook her head at him. "Oh it happens all the time. The amount of business links that are secured through marriage. The amount of mergers that are confirmed because of marriages. No, arranged marriages are still normal. Increasingly opposed but still a thing. I'm just refusing. I wouldn't force some poor guy to be with me," Sloane corrected him with a casual shrug of her shoulders.

Sloane tipped her head to the side as she thought about what he said. She didn't want an arranged marriage but she didn't necessarily disagree with them. They were a good way to form connections and divorce was always there on the table but a lot of couples fell in love along the way. "Maybe. I guess it's all up to the person. If they disagree with it then they can should be able to say no but they may not," she replied after a moment of thinking. Her lips curved into a small smile and she shook her head slightly at him. "Why thank you. I'm glad it wouldn't be all that bad. That increases my confidence a lot," she replied sarcastically.
