Sloane smiled cheekily, almost smugly at him when he altered his deal, feeling like she'd won. But then again, he was technically her employee so she could always win with him. "Sounds absolutely perfect," she answered, walking passed him out of the room and locking once again when he was out. "Well I'm going to my room to finish getting ready. I'll just be a couple of minutes. Do you want to come up and see where it is and stuff or are you good here?" she asked curiously, the previous situation completely forgotten as she addressed him.

Sloane nodded, watching him walk off before heading to her own room. She still hated the fact that he had to be around her. It felt so constricting, so restricting. She fixed her makeup, changed her shoes to higher heels that made her legs look better and picked up her bag. With one last look in her mirror, she walked down to Kaiden's room and knocked on the door, taking a step back and leaning against the wall opposite with her legs crossed at the ankles. She checked her phone when it buzzed and quickly told her friends that she would be there in a few before dropping it back in her coat pocket.

When he opened the door, Sloane pushed off the wall, smoothing her hands over the tight, navy dress she was wearing once she did. She pulled the fitted, leather jacket tighter around her and brushed her hand through the front of her hair to push it out of her face. "Yeah, let's go," she replied, turning away from him and walking down the hall, her high heels padding against the lush carpets. "Do you like your room?" she asked out of curiosity, glancing back at him and slowing down enough to fall into step with him.

Sloane looked over at him with an unimpressed frown, looking away from him with a soft sigh. She had thought he was going to be at least slightly interesting, especially after that outburst back in the gallery. But there he was keeping his eyes straight ahead and his tone polite. "Well I was going to take a cab but now that you're here, you can drive me," she told him, not even asking him to drive her, just deciding that he was going to. She turned a couple of corners before pushing open the door to the garage. Nodding her head towards the row of expensive cars, she gestured to the row of keys hanging on the wall. "Take your pick," she said with a shrug.

Sloane raised an eyebrow at him when he wasn't looking, making random, confused hand gestures when his back was turned to her. She honestly didn't understand why he had just picked the first one when he didn't even like it. She had thought that he'd have a bit more fun with the cars. "You're so annoying," she told him bluntly as she got into the car. She wasn't really sure what was annoying about him, probably the fact that he'd decided to switch to being her body guard rather than an actual person. "Thank you," she added, almost as an after thought.

Sloane leaned back in her seat, crossing her legs and dropping her hands into her lap. She was quite disappointed that he was turning out to be normal and not interesting like she had thought he was. With an internal sigh, she turned to look at him as he was driving. Even if he was being just a boring bodyguard, at least he was nice to look at. When he asked, she started giving him directions. "Why this one?" She asked, wondering how she could get him out of 'bodyguard mode'.

Sloane narrowed her eyes at his smile, wondering why he was clearly trying to stop himself from smiling. It wasn't liking smiling was against the job description and yet he was clearly trying so hard to stay a stone bodyguard. Her hopes were tarnished once again when he wouldn't be a normal person. She ran her eyes over him before looking up at him once again. "Yeah, you could probably use a bigger car," she agreed, her smile flirtatious but that quickly dropped to a frown as she looked away from him.

Sloane's frown curved into a small smile when she saw him smile. At least now she had some idea of how to make him human. She hadn't meant to flirt with him, it had just slipped out but she was usually more controlled than that so it had annoyed her. She was taking off her belt when she noticed him coming around to her side so she quickly opened the door and rushed out, tugging her dress down when it rode up from her haste to get out of the car before him. "Shall we go?" she asked but started walking into the bar before she could wait for him to respond.

Sloane was surprised at his question but somewhat happy that he had asked it. She looked over at him with her eyebrows furrowed just a bit as she thought about his question, her pace slowing down as she did. Shrugging at him, she concentrated on the click of her heels instead of him. "I'm just not used to having anyone to wait for," she answered him when she had thought about it. As they neared the door, Sloane's posture unintentional relaxed.

Sloane grinned when she heard the calls of her friends, strutting over to the table that they had. Once again, she didn't think to wait for Kaiden as she sped up and slid into the last remaining seat in the booth. For some reason, she didn't like the way her friend Jessica smiled flirtatiously at him, tossing her hazel brown curls over her shoulder and ran her eyes over him. Still unsure what she was doing, she knocked back a shot that her friends had gotten her and then turned to look at Kaiden. "You wanna pull up a chair?" she asked, purposely ignoring Jessica's raised eyebrow.

"So Sloane," Jessica started, not looking at Sloane but instead at Kaiden. "Who's your friend?"
Sloane rolled her eyes at Jessica and glanced at Kaiden with a smirk on her lips before she looked back at her friends sitting around the table. "Kaiden. Mom and dad decided it was high time that I get a bodyguard. This is him," she replied with a shrug, picking up her friend Elliot's drink and drinking the rest of it, ignoring his playfully dirty look.
"He's your bodyguard and he let you come here?" Elliot asked with a laugh, raising an eyebrow at Kaiden. Across the table from them, Theo rolled his eyes and leaned back in her seat.
"Bodyguard, not babysitter Elliot. He's not here to make sure that she continues to be a good little girl. Honestly, it's about time considering those letters. I was about to hire one for you myself if your parents didn't. We all know you couldn't give a damn," Theo replied, chuckling softly at the end and winking at Sloane who just grinned back at him.
"So what is it, bodyguard or babysitter?" Jessica asked Kaiden, leaning closer to him, slowly twirling a curl around her index finger.

"Protecting Sloane. Lucky girl," Jessica said softly, looking at Sloane with a small smirk before she looked back at Kaiden, her flirtatious smile intact. "So, as a bodyguard, you must have to be real strong. You must work out a lot. Right?" she asked, not trying to hide her flirting in any way as she spoke to Kaiden.
Sloane frowned slightly at Jessica's obviousness, for some reason, not liking the way she was flirting with him. "Desperate," she coughed before she cleared her throat. "Sorry, I don't think that you heard me through my cough. Desperate," she clarified, a slight smirk on her lips as she looked at Jessica who was giving her an amused glare. Narrowing her eyes at Sloane, she shook her head before she turned back to Kaiden.
"So you were saying?" she asked, going back to flirting with him.

Jessica raised her eyebrows at him, moving her hand to his arm, slowly running her hand up and down his bicep. "Well I highly doubt that. You do feel pretty strong. You're so modest, that's totally hot," she replied, not moving her hand from his arm as she did.
Sloane felt uneasy as she watched the exchange and she hated it. She didn't know what was wrong with her but she was actually annoyed with Jess for flirting with him. It wasn't that she didn't know that she was a flirt, heck, she'd flirt with a wall. She didn't even have any sort of claim on him, he was just her bodyguard. Her bodyguard that she hadn't even known that long. And yet the sight was making her want to snap at someone. Sliding out of the booth, she stood up and quickly fixed her dress. "I'm going to get a drink," she announced before walking on over to the bar.
Elliot watched Sloane walk away before glancing at Jessica with a soft snort and continuing his conversation with Theo. Jessica wasn't bothered by any of it and kept her attention on Kaiden. "So how long have you been in this line of work?" she asked, tilting her head to the side slightly.

Jessica moved her hand away from his arm to tuck a curl behind her ear. Looking over at Sloane, she shrugged, not seeing anything out of the ordinary. "Oh she's fine. You haven't known her long right? You'll learn. She's...independent. Or emotionally distant. Or both. As for safety, she's gotten us kicked out for smashing a glass on a guys hand when he tried to touch her ass. He tried to sue because the glass like tore us his hand but she threatened sexual assault and he dropped it," Jessica answered, a frown forming on her lips with his attention away from her.
Sloane had gotten her two drinks and elbowed her way through the crowd. She felt a hand try to sneak around her waist as a guy smirked down at her and casually dug her feet into his foot, making him yelp and let her go. Satisfied, she continued out of the crowd around the bar and slid back into the booth. "What'd I miss?" She asked, looking at everyone.

Sloane raised an eyebrow at Jessica's frown, sliding a drink across to her in a silent peace offering. It wasn't often that she felt she crossed the line but the comment earlier had been unnecessary and she knew that Jessica would hold a grudge. She'd been subject to her grudges before and that cold shoulder wasn't something that she liked.
"Nothing. How come I don't get a drink princess?" Theo asked, tilting his head to the side with a lopsided grin on his face.
"Please. If anything, I'd buy Kaiden a drink. He actually does something with his life. Though I highly doubt you could say it's worth while," she replied, looking over at Kaiden with a raised eyebrow, looking for a response.

Sloane was actually kind of impressed with his answer. She hadn't thought that he cared and she didn't see why he would. She still didn't think that there was any point of her having a bodyguard but as she drained her drink, she wasn't bothered to start that again. "And you honestly believe that protecting privileged, entitled, brats is worthwhile?" she prodded, happily including herself in that bracket. "I mean, is that really what you want to do with your life?" she continued, turning to look at Theo and thanking him as he handed her another drink with a wink.

Sloane smiled softly to herself, hiding how impressed he had with his politically correct answer. She was even more impressed with the way it sounded honest. She still couldn't help but doubt that he was lying, she was much too cynical not to think that he was lying about it. No one could actually like taking care of them, it made no sense. She raised an eyebrow as she continued looking at him over the rim of her glass as she drank. When she needed a breath, she set the glass back down on the table. "What was that? I couldn't hear you," she asked, blinking innocently at him.

"Oh calm down Kaiden. We haven't even started yet. Plus there's a reason why we come here rather then anywhere-Ow!" Jessica started but cut herself off with a yelp, her easy going grin shifting into a cold glare at Sloane. The two girls seemed to be having a mental conversation before Jessica's eyes widened with realisation.
"Only Jess. So, how old are you?" Elliot said wth a light chuckle before directing his question to Kaiden. Sloane became more interested in that conversation rather than Jessica's mess up because she hadn't actually thought about how old he was and she hadn't realised that she was actually quite curious about it.

Sloane's eyes widened slightly at his answer and Jessica grinned flirtatiously. "Wow, you're really young to be a bodyguard," she started, tilting her head to the side as she looked at him. "Do you have a lot of experience?" She asked as Sloane rolled her eyes and finished off her drink. She'd had a good few and a small smile curved her lips as her vision started to get a little hazy. She really didn't care what Kaiden was telling her, she was going to drink as much as she wanted to.
"Come get a drink with me," she told him, still not sure why she was getting annoyed by Jess as she grabbed his hand and tugged lightly.
"Come get a drink with me," she told him, still not sure why she was getting annoyed by Jess as she grabbed his hand and tugged lightly.

Sloane felt a twinge of annoyance once again and that was starting to annoy her more than anything. She saw absolutely no point to it which was surprising since she usually always had some reason as to why she got annoyed, as irrational as it may have been. "Doesn't matter," she replied with a shrug, walking towards the bar, still holding his hand as she weaved through people to get to the bar. "The only reason to go out and drink is to get buzzed. Not wasted, at least not all the time, but buzzed at least. I'm not there yet," she told him as she held up a finger to the bar tender who already knew her order.

As Sloane waited for her drink, she sent a dirty glare to the guy who was blatantly checking her out. When he made a move towards her, she moved her hand so Kaiden's arm was around her. With a dejected look in his eye, he turned and moved away. Taking her drink from the bartender with a grin, she started sipping it, looking back towards the table before she looked at Kaiden, biting her lip lightly as she thought. "We should probably leave soon," she suggested with a shrug.

Sloane let go of her lip, shaking her head slightly at his question as she snapped back to reality. "No, there's nothing wrong. Just...stuff's gonna happen and I don't need to be around for that," she told him, trying to tell him only as much as he needed to know. She had forgotten that his arm was around her as she started towards the table, letting go of him, she let his arm drop from her shoulders. "Oh, sorry about that," she apologised quickly, knocking back the rest of her drink and smiling at him. "I'm gonna say goodbye. Then we'll go," she told him and headed towards the table again.

As she walked towards her friends, she found herself missing his arm around her. She didn't want to seem like a freak and make him quit or something because she made him act affectionate towards her. That wouldn't go down well with her parents. After saying goodbye and leaving despite the protests of her friends, she managed to make her way to Kaiden who was waiting at the door. "Let's go home. I'm totally in the mood for cake," she told him randomly, not really caring if he thought she sounded strange as she walked out of the bar and towards the car.

Sloane laughed in return, shrugging her shoulders at him and hopping in the car, thanking him as an afterthought when he got in himself. "No, it's at home. I got bored yesterday so there's coffee cake and I'm totally craving a piece right not," she answered, leaning forward and taking off her shoes before leaning back in her seat and pulling up one leg underneath her. She looked over at Kaiden and felt a strong urge to kiss him but didn't say or do anything. She knew that she always got overly affectionate after a couple of drinks.

Sloane nodded against the seat, leaning the side of her head against it as she looked over at Kaiden. "Yeah, I just want my pajamas. I'd say that it should be socially acceptable to wear them all the time, everywhere but then if you get to wear pajamas all the time then they stop becoming those comfy pajamas that you can change into when you go home," she told him, knowing she was rambling on but not able to stop herself from doing so. She giggled lightly, resting her hand on the ankle of her crossed leg.
