That was awesome of Jon for having Sam's back and suggesting they do something of use with him. He is right though. The Night's Watch does need every man. We all have strengths and just because Sam's isn't battle, he can definitely help them.

I love Jon more and more with each chapter.


Terry ~ Huntress of Erudition I love Jon too, he is the moral compass for the rest of them in this series. Sam is also a smart, good hearted person, who is overlooked because of some of his weaker traits.

Ser Alliser is quite fond of nicknames.
I love how Jon has taken Sam under his wing. He treats Sam like a little brother and it's awesome.
"The Wall is no place for the weak." I disagree. I think the Wall needs every man they can get their hands on. Everyone serves a purpose. I agree with Jon-love his comparison to the maester's chain.
