Nokomis.FL (nokomisfl) | 316 comments Anyone watching Season 10? Did your DVR pick it up after the NFC Championship overtime?

Hex Dsl Yep. Watched it. Thought it was okay. Didn't blow my mind as i had hoped.

Olaf | 31 comments They condensed whole season worth of conspiracy plot and condensed it into one ep. That (plus sounding like some sort of right wing truther) made it rather silly IMO.

Plus it seemed like Duchovny was kinda phoning it in - I know that Mulder was "the cool" guy but this felt more like the dude from Californication.

But it still was fun to watch, and I'll be back for more.

Nokomis.FL (nokomisfl) | 316 comments I've heard from reviews that it gets better once you get past the first episode.

Misti (spookster5) | 549 comments I watched it live. I had a feeling if I tried to set the DVR, I wouldn't get it all, knowing FOX's track record with sporting events.

Not crazy with the whole government conspiracy plot. I want to believe, darn it! But Mulder and Scully are back on my TV! Plus, it's only six episodes so I'm sure I'll watch the whole thing.

It was OK, but did feel they jammed too much into the first episode. Of course they only have 6 episodes.

I'll be curious to see how the rest plays out. Episode 2 is tonight already, though I won't get to it until Tuesday.

Oh and I set my DVR to record 2 hours lae to cover for the game running late as expected.

Rick BTW, it's streaming on Hulu if you have that and on Fox - http://www.fox.com/watch/607308867569...

John (Taloni) Taloni (johntaloni) | 5194 comments I didn't love it, but I am definitely down for six episodes.

Michael (michaeldiack) | 96 comments I liked it, but it wasn't the strongest first episode. Will happily stick with it though, love me a bit of Scully.

message 10: by Keith (new)

Keith (keithatc) My reaction was pretty negative and boiled down to "a lazy exercise in half-assed nostalgia." If all you want is to see Mulder and Scully pointing flashlights and going through the motions like some convention cosplay skit, well, then, that's what I thought they delivered.

message 11: by Jadetyger (new)

Jadetyger Sevea I thought the first two episodes were okay. I've set my expectations low. I'm not sure how much they can actually do in six episodes, but I'm here for the ride.

Lindsay (lindsaydee) | 6 comments Was not that interested in the first episode. Loved that Joel McHale was in it, but agree that there was too much shoved into one episode. And the monologue before the opening credits... meh. I'd prefer a video montage if such a need existed.

Second episode was better. Monster of the week that also makes Mulder and Scully question an event in their history. Interesting that their "Flashbacks" did not include each other though. Anyone else think that was weird? Or would it be too complicated to include each other... hmm...

Also, the gore... haha... was it always this gory? I don't think so, but I'm only on season two of the originals re-watching. Their blood in seasons 1 & 2 is like ketchup. This season is much better. That also means I have to look away a lot, or peek through my fingers in morbid curiosity. lol.

All in all, I will probably keep watching. It's only 6 episodes, right? Almost halfway through. Hope there are more answers this time!

Ok, episodes 1&2 were pretty disapointing..but episode 3 was awesome..I hope the rest are more like that.

Louie (rmutt1914) | 885 comments Episode 3 was everything a monster-of-the-week ep should be. No surprise it was written and directed by Darin Morgan.

Silvana (silvaubrey) | 1803 comments Episode 3 is pretty funny, love it! Love Mulder's bumbling about smartphone camera, his banter with Scully, all the wacky actions. Let's hope the next episode is still a monster-of-the-week one.

message 16: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay (lindsaydee) | 6 comments Oh heck yes. I loved Episode 3! The best. Great actors in it too; Rhys Darby & Kumail Nanjiani. I miss those odd ball episodes chucked into the middle of a season. And the filmography! Brought me back to the 90's X-Files. Siiiigh!

message 17: by Charles (new)

Charles Douglas (chancemaybe) | 8 comments When did David and Gillian's voices become so raspy? Do they smoke two packs a day?

Anyway. it's been disappointing. The acting seems to reflect they are either doing it for a paycheck or they think it's a joke. If I had to say one positive thing is Joel McHale. Community was a great show.

message 18: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay (lindsaydee) | 6 comments Yeah, episode 4 was all politics. I don't mind that on occasion, but this season is chalk full of it. It seems forced in a show such as The X-Files. I want to see old characters and monsters show up. Some updates on what happened with them. The humor is funny for a moment. As in: Ha. I laughed the first time, but the fish out of water jokes are getting a little old in reference to changes in technology etc.
