PugMom (nicoleg76) | 2014 comments Done! When I was almost to the end I did have a few ideas about who the killer was. I knew it wasn't the "Buddy Holly" guy. That would have been too obvious. I also had an idea about why Camryn's friends were going behind her back. I think it was a 4 star book overall.

Almost done. Least we know who the stalker on bike is.

Done! I didn't figure out the murderer 'til near end. Figures. Think I should stick to armchair sleuthing over a career in law enforcement. ;-)

Allison | 905 comments It seems as if this is not exactly a favorite book with most reviewers. I felt that it was Ok. Wasn't the best nor the worst thing I've ever read but I did like the beginning with the information about how to make a snow globe.

I also liked those cupcakes you posted Nicole. :)

PugMom (nicoleg76) | 2014 comments I thought the cupcakes fit in perfectly with the theme! I saw them on Pinterest around Christmas time.

I agree, Allison, it's a bit heavy with unnecessary details. I found myself speed reading much of it just to get through story. I, like many others, did enjoy the snow globe material.

Bravo to you, Nicole for hosting a fine read and discuss. Enjoying it!

Allison | 905 comments The cupcakes were wonderful - I most probably will never make them as they involve work but I would EAT them with a right good will lol.

Tina I skipped some of the details as well. I find myself also wanting to do that with the book I am currently reading, An Expert in Murder. Am I too impatient to get to the ending? I don't know...

No, Allison. I think it's a more an idea of experienced taste. We know what we like. Nothing wrong with those who like more detail in their reads. Nothing wrong with those of us who like less. No right or wrong answer. It just is. :-)

PugMom (nicoleg76) | 2014 comments I agree. Like in those books with tons of recipes. Most of the time I just skip over them because I want to get to the end!

Allison | 905 comments So I finished An Expert in Murder - very good. I actually would recommend this one. It took a little while for me to get into and I think some of my frustration with details was because there were so many characters in it to keep track of. The plot was very intricate as well. I would read more in this series.

Oh yes, Nicole, I skip some of the recipes too...

How is everyone doing with Snow Way Out?

Done with Snow Way Out. Started Poirot Puzzle. Glanced at Murder At Midnight. Lofty goals here. lol

PugMom (nicoleg76) | 2014 comments I've been done for a while. Had to get going on a book for review that's due today. Tonight I'm going to start the book that comes before the Poirot puzzle (Falcon something?).

PugMom (nicoleg76) | 2014 comments BTW, are any of you on Facebook's Cozy Mystery Review Crew? I've gotten to review 3 books so far! It's so much fun. The author sends you an ARC of the book and they set a deadline for you to review it on Goodreads and Amazon/B&N.

Jill Tool | 992 comments I never heard of the FB page your talking about. I do see a lot of cozy reading groups but none for review.
